I'm so sorry about the spammage, but...
1) This here cracked me up more than words can say. Thanks for the helpful, er, diagram, girls. Very nice. I approve. Heh.
2) I forgot to say this, but it had me very excited a couple of days ago, so I had to share.
If they ever DID make an At Swim movie, I have come up with the trailer...
Well, sort of.
Ok, so here's what I have come up with: (probably cheesy, but it's cool in my head...)
We see a span shot of Ireland, and over it eerie beautiful Irish music, probably the air that Jim and Doyler play on their flutes in the beginning, which does actually exist.
Then the music gets more intense, and we see fighting - particularly, the rising. The scene slowly changes, and we see two boys sitting in the wind, on the rocks, from the back, and we hear Doyler's voice, saying: 'We'll have our swim together, Jim. Come Easter, sure.' (Paraphrasing, but that scene, end of Part I, you know the one.)
Then the scene changes again, we see them, separately, doing their 'thing', I suppose, and we also get a shot of MacEmm, smoking, looking out the window into the sea, some bits of dialogue here and there, and then, we hear Scrotes, as the scene changes to show them at Wolfe Tone's grave: 'Build them a nation. Ransack the histories for clues to their past.' You know, the shpiel. And then we hear more music, a few more shots that I haven't yet figured out, and then 'At Swim, Two Boys' and the date. (No voice announcing it or anything, because I hate that.)
Umm...that's all.
Ok, no more spam, I promise.
