On there being so much CRAXiness, it should be made illegal.
Ok, so this day has turned out to be completely amazing, in a really strange sort of way.
Happy things that have happened -
1) The pictures. Oh, my. Nothing says "happiness" quite like two pretty boys jumping each other in front of a few hundred people.
For more, please refer here, and here. Yes, they are holding hands, people. And it's adorable. *sigh*
cokerry and I squealed like the slashy fangirls that we are, and it was beautiful. I can't believe that she, of all people, would think about whoring herself off on the set of LoTR. But, then again, that's what makes her her. Heh. For more, refer to her LJ. Ahem.
2) Parents. Bought. DVD player. WOW. 7 hour extended FoTR version here I come! I mean, wow.
It was highly amusing - they also bought a big bookshelf to put together (because soon books will simply take over our apartment, for good), and needed help bringing it upstairs. So, we hauled the thing up, my dad went downstairs to get the rest of what they bought, and my mom started making some vague comments about "how long it will take". I was thinking she was refering to the fact that I would be putting together the bookshelf (as per my request), and started getting offended - "I can do it!" She said:
"No, it's not that, I'm just talking about observational skills", and, once again, I said:
"Hey, I can pay attention, I'll be able to put it together!"
She laughed a bit, and stopped. I walked through the living room to my room, took a few steps back and stared at a corner in the living room. There, on the floor, stood a box. I think my jaw dropped. My mom is funny.
3) I got to build a bookshelf! You see, I love building stuff. I love putting things together with my hands, just like I love drawing, and making beads - I do things with my hands all the time. And when we were coming back to Boston, I suddenly remembered how much I had missed putting furniture together (I've done it before, helping my dad, and then on my own), and happened to mention it to my parents. They said that they had been planning on buying another bookshelf, and said that I could put it together, of course. And, so, I did. I felt all tough and cool. It was fun. (My dad made a crack about my mom probably never wanting to do that sort of thing when she was my age, and my mom shrugged and said: "Never would have occured to me!" I thought it was funny.)
I like playing with a hammer and screwing things.
4) N.P.R. Oh, wow. Oh, wowowowowow! Meg has the most amazing voice, it is so gorgeous. And the wonderful way that the Sugar Quill was presented! You guys truly ROX, it was fantastic. I'm still not coherent about this, but I can remember more and more things now, and I loved the answer to the all-burning question: "Do you really think that's what's going to happen, that Ron and Hermione will get together?"
"Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes. And yes."
I love you guys.
"Beat-reviewers"? Heh. Oh, well. Close enough. When they were talking about beat-ing, I was squealing to my mom - "that's what I do, mom, that's what I do!!" And when the scarves were mentioned, I was writhing on the floor - "MOOOOOOM, that's what WE looked like in NY, WOW!!" My mom enjoyed it, I think. As did my dad, who was fiddling with his new toy. I made them not talk for the whole thing, and they did very well, for which I thank them.
Oh, we are such DORX. But we are smart DORX, and that's all that matters. We are DORX that have FUN.
And, dude. The analyst guy said that it's totally ethical if he wants to imagine Harry in a passionate embrace with a Weasley brother, or all of them together. I mean, it doesn't get much better than that, save for puppy love.
Mwahahahahahaha...
We WILL take over the world, just you watch.
Errr...
6) Squealing about all of the above with very fun people. I love being supplied with pretty pictures (thank you, darling!), and supplying others with them (*smirk*, *smirk*) And just generally getting to talk to various cool people.
And tonight I watch the highlights of "Wilde". For there are several. Ten points to Gryffindor to whoever can spot the quote.
I just wish J would come back online so I could squeal all about Jude...
And, speaking of which, it should be illegal to be this beautiful.
Forgot to mention this earlier. Orlando Bloom has an absolutely gorgeous little scene in "Wilde", as a rent boy. Nothing really happens, except for a look being exchanged. It's absolutely breathtaking. I commend Oscar Wilde for not yielding to temptation - if it had been me, I would have flown across the street straight into his arms, beginning him to take me. *sigh*
And, yes, I do find it intensely amusing that he plays a rent boy. Make no mistake about it.
Good night. And pleasant dreams. I know that at least three of you will have them. *mwah*
