On Elves and the (wo)men that love them.

Why I need to start DOING STUFF. And why [livejournal.com profile] stereo_m cracks me up to no end:

Me: ok, this is so wrong
StereoM: what?
Me: "With acting he [Orlando Bloom] allegedly began because of the women, since he said once: "I don't care about the money as long as I am allowed to kiss someone in a movie."
Me: He COULD have been talking about boys! Sheesh!
StereoM: LOL
StereoM: Yes, he probably was
StereoM: of course
Me: hehe
StereoM: he must've been.
StereoM: I mean...
Me: oh, and "nothing is known about a lasting girlfriend"
Me: ha
StereoM: *shovels groin-rubbing pic in your face*
StereoM: Hee!
Me: klsjfklsdfjksdjfklsdjfksdjfklsdjkfsdfjlsdf
Me: wow
Me: thank you, that was lovely. *wipes face*
StereoM: LOL!
StereoM: You're welcome ;-)

And He stepped down from the Heavens and announced: "Ye shall have a life!" And Life was granted.

But to somebody else.

I need to start doing productive things. I don't think laundry counts.

Oh, well, leaving home tomorrow, anyway. And watching "The Two Towers", yes. Heh. It's all good...

Will be in NYC tomorrow. Wheeeee! Ah, my City. Going to Hell..er...Long Island the day after to celebrate Sam's birthday a day late and generally enjoy my last day in the states. And the day after I fly back.

And the break is over.

But that is Ok. I think I'm ready to start working again. I definitely need to do stuff, one way or another. So, it's a good thing. Besides which, I get to see Marie and Theresa again, and that is awesome. I've missed them - emailed Theresa today, she emailed back, and it was great - she's still out there, and England wasn't a dream. Does that sound odd?

On a totally different note, here's a plea to whoever will listen -

[livejournal.com profile] percy_weatherby is looking for a host for his/our website. Unfortunately, Maddie has to leave her domain, and that is sad. So, he is looking for a new host, who will be able to give him his own sub-domain and FTP access, if possible. This all means nothing to me, but if you understand, and can help, it would be greatly appreciated!

He can pay with lovely art, I can pay with smut. Heh.

And if you were curious, here are the answer to the quiz - the ones that people made mistakes on...

What is my middle name?

Well, not a middle name so much as a patronymic, but it's Yakovlevna, believe it or not.

What is my favorite book?

Ha, trick question. No, it was not, in fact, PoA, though that comes awfully close. It's "At Swim, Two Boys" as anyone that I have ever talked to for long enough will tell you... *sigh* Am pathetic...

What is the user name I threatened to use on Sugar Quill?

That was an unfair question, since, for the most part, only the Ghosts adn Admin. would have known it. But it was a joke name, stemming from a recent new member's name. Mine was "Iloveorlandosbutt". There was a genius, yes, who called him/herself "Iloveronsbutt". I just HAD to.

Who is my favorite musician?

Ah, yes. Mister Tom "I am way too cool for this place" Waits.

What is my guilty pleasure ship?

Ummm. Right. Well, it isn't Remus/Sirius, because it's not a guilty pleasure. It's my ship, dammit. And it isn't Draco/Ginny, because that's just wrong. And Ron/Harry is cute, yeah, but, again not so guilty. Lucius/Draco makes me want to vomit and shoot myself. So. You figure it out.

Why is this crazy woman swimming at the Forty Foot in Ireland this spring?

Despite certain allegations (*aHEM*, moya dorogaya Tsaritsa), it wasn't that I am clinically abnormal. J. and I are reclaiming the Mugglins for Jim and Doyler, thank you very much. Well, that's what I say we're doing. Even though we're not actually swimming TO the Mugglins. We'll wave. And if you have no idea what the hell I'm gibbering about, look at the second question up above. And I cannot claim credit for this brilliant idea. I just follow. Heh.

What is my beef with Hollywood Video?

All of the above, man. All of the above.

What did I tell myself when I first encountered slash?

Ah, yes. I am truly hurt and offended that someone though I said: "This is so wrong, my virgin eyes!" *sigh* That is just so very sad to me.

No, the actual answer was that I will read but not write, because it's just too tempting. The whole thing was just too tempting.

And now I shall stop boring the pants off you all, and go get my finished laundry. It's so nice to not have to haul it all across the fucking campus...

Some things about home I will miss.

Oh, and yes - got to see the extended version of LoTR (though, alas, not a DVD...had to settle for VHS, since the DVDs were out), and the lembas bread "commercial" was fantastic. He is just too lovely for words.

In fact, I really liked all of the scenes - I wish they could have kept them. The beginning was so cute, I just wanted to crawl inside the screen. Then, and all the times when I saw swishy, long blond hair. And, no, not just on Orlando's head. ;)

He was bleached. Not the hair - that was a wig, obviously - but his face. Heh. Make-up, to "disguise his olive complexion". Which is why nearly everyone has a heart attack when they seem him just as he is. "Wait, what? That's HIM? But, wait, no, he's all blond and fair..." Heh. He's gorgeous either way, so it's all good.

Honestly ... It scares me that I scored 90 on your quiz. I promise I don't stalk and I have no idea why I knew your middle name.

[identity profile] cabari.livejournal.com 2003-01-02 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Damn you, woman! I'm not going to be in the city till Saturday! Damn you and your continent-hopping ways!

And Orlando is lovely. Mmmorlando. Stupid name, though. Even stupider is that fangirls call him Orli. Can't even say Orli without sounding like a complete moron or like you've got a mouthful of something.

[identity profile] stereo-m.livejournal.com 2003-01-02 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! Yeah, hrm. I mean, if the gorgeous boy refuses to be gay (which I'm NOT saying he does! ;) ), he could at least be MY boyfriend. ;)

I also knew your middle name, even if I didn't know it. I also got Tom Waits right, which is strange, since I've never really listened to him. And the second I clicked 'send' I realised I my answer to the Hollywood Video question was wrong. Sad. So, really, my score should've been 80. ;D

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-01-02 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. It's ok, never really thought you were a stalker. :) Hehe...

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-01-02 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, dammit! We keep, like, missing each other. Well. I'll eventually be back...so, yeah, hopefully, you'll still be in the approximate area.

Stupid name, though. Even stupider is that fangirls call him Orli.

ORLI?! *shudders* No fucking way. Actually, he was named after Orlando in Virginia Woolf. I think that's kinda cool, because it's a hero who lives in different times, and is sort of genderless - woman here, a man there... ;) So, I like that. He's also from Canterbury. That's just cool.

Oh, God. I'm a fangirl. *hits head on the keyboard and groans*

[identity profile] percy-weatherby.livejournal.com 2003-01-02 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
LoTRed out? How can you be LoTRed out? :P

In other news, I happen to prefer unmakeuped Orlando. I actually hate his Legolas look (beyond the fact that I am staunchly against blonde!Legolas) in the movie. Blegh. Then again, I've always prefered darker, ethnic complexions to light ones, and I don't like blonde guys at all.

So, really, my score should've been 80. ;D

It's a deal. ;) You should listen to some Tom Waits - the man is WEIRD, but EXCELLENT.

I mean, if the gorgeous boy refuses to be gay (which I'm NOT saying he does! ;) ), he could at least be MY boyfriend. ;)

but I should have known your guilty ship -I'm so silly!

*cackles*

His normal self is edible :P

Oh, GOD, is he ever! I have spent the good part of the day looking at pictures, and am just...just...yeah. I'm horny.

I got the book, ship, and Ireland questions wrong. But I was close!

LoTRed out? How can you be LoTRed out? :P

You're right, that's impossible. I'm very much LoTR'ed in. *g*

In other news, I happen to prefer unmakeuped Orlando.

I like both Orlandos. *g* I usually dont' like blond guys at all, but what I love about him is the fact that he's so ethereal, and has black eyebrows. I love the combination of light hair and dark eyebrows. Just...gets me. And I love his costume because it allows us to see his pretty, pretty legs... And you know I am a woman obsessed when it comes to legs, so... *sigh*

Heh. It's quite all right that you didn't get the ship. Really. It's fine. :)
