I am at the end of my Sirius-y rope.
So, I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. I really don't. It must be my not-so-well-hidden masochism, rearing its ugly head. But I've gone back to see what people have said on the Sirius and Snape issue once more. Here's a lovely little excerpt, I thought you'd all enjoy: (And yes, I do enjoy being a bitch sometimes. I'm not even making this friends-only today. So, ha.)
Unlike Snape, whose morals had been fought and hard won, Sirus seems to came by his by an accidental of birth. I can see him quite cheerfully doing the Dark Lord's bidding had he been born in a Slytherin family, and he wouldn't turn to the side of light either. Sirus, in a sense, lacks the moral center that makes Snape so interesting, what he had instead is a self-centered arrogance which in turn makes him believe his action is justified and his prejudices are never wrong.
Bite my Russian-Jewish Ass. Please. I am begging you.
(In fact, no, I'm kidding. Someone actually took me up on the offer once - a few years back - and I have regretted saying it ever since. (It hurt man, it was through my thin pajama pants!) But since you're all too far away, I can say it pretty safely.)
This person also said that "Sirius doesn't seem to think, like, EVER!"
Yes, which is exactly how he came to ESCAPE FROM A PRISON THAT NO ONE IN THE HISTORY OF AZKABAN HAS EVER ESCAPED FROM!
GAAA-AAAH!
Now, I would like you all to look through your worn copies of PoA and GoF and show me the places where Sirius's morals are those of a potential Death Eater. No, really, I would like to know. Would you?
And as for Snape's "fought and hard won" morals, I would just like to say two words - "DEATH" and "EATER". Thank you and good night.

Now, let's talk about what a drooling idiot I am (I think it was
voxmaille that had the exact expression down that made wriggle on the floor, but I just can't remember it at the moment.) Let's discuss the fact that Liz is 20 years old and still can't open up a fucking can of tomatoes in sauce. Because using a can opener is somehow completely beyond her sorely lacking intelligence skills. Argh. How in the world can it take somebody fifteen minutes to open the damn thing, having tried three - yes! - three different can openers, poked holes in random places that did not even come close to the lid itself, only to mutilate the entire thing to the point of leaking and actually physically forcing the tomatoes out?
Wow. I am not impressed with myself tonight.
Onto better things - finished the angsty story, much to my surprise. I'm not sure how complete it is - sent it off to Anne, we'll see what she says. I feel like it may need more expanding, but don't know where it should come in. When I finish a story, I don't see any gaps where something else might fit in, it's like a completed circle to me. Maybe she'll see something. But, yay, it's done! It is rather short, however. Only 3 pages. Why is it that I can write smut for 7 to 8 pages, and not an agsty story that deals with feelings? I don't get it. It's rather disheartening.
Oh, but I am very very grateful to one of my hallmates. We were in her room yesterday, watching a very stupid movie (I don't know why, so don't ask), and I turned around and saw a picture of Aragorn on her wall (well, Viggo as Aragorn, obviously). I said: "Hey, cool!", and she suddenly got off the bed, said that she had something for me, and pulled out...a picture of Legolas. Oh, yes. It's mine. On MY wall. By MY bed. I have a picture of Legolas. Ah, but life is good sometimes.
Oh, and before I forget - My Prince is back! Welcome BAX, love, we've missed you around here. :)
I'm still very much enjoying "LoTR" - and I have a question for you all fans of books and hotbits (I swear to God, Roche, you need to patent that) - how old is Aragorn, anyway?
In other news...I have decided that there is nothing wrong with wanting to stay at home and read, as opposed to going out to a pub and sitting around there every night. It's not like I don't have the chances to go - I do, and I did last night, but not for long. But you know, it wasn't that amazing. It wasn't even that fun - all I wanted to do was curl up on my bed, with my book and duvet. And I did have people to talk to - it's just that it didn't feel right to me, for some reason. I think I miss having my closest friends around - the sort of people that you've known for so long that you don't need to fish for things to discuss and you work so well together, that you understand one another to the point of finishing one another's sentences. I miss my best friends.
So, yes. I don't care if I'm an anti-social freak, I guess that's who I am. And that is Ok.
Oh, but I am going to a Tori Amos concert in London on Thursday. Whoohoo! I believe it's the exact same concert that Mieko is going to. Odd, eh?
I'm really excited - because of Tori and because it's going to be in London. Because London is one cool place.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
How does one deter one's boyfriend from sending one drinking money? Any ideas? Anyone? Anyone? He really cracks me up sometimes. We're arguing about it even as I type.
Oh! I have finally remembered to share, because I've been forgetting for about a month -
When we were in Milan, we were walking around, and we chanced upon a shoe store. It proudly proclaimed: "COCKS".
I damned myself to hell and back for not having my camera on me that night.
And with that thought, I shall leave you. Night. :)
