Don't like kids in life or in fic. Even well written kidfic stories ("With Six You Get Eggroll" comes to mind) will never be in my all-time favorites column, even if I enjoy them. And while I'm tolerant of some of my friends' kids, or even the occasional cute precocious darling, in general kids are a subgroup I take great pains to avoid.

But there are of course exceptions. Who was it who wrote that series of stories about Fraser and Ray K adopting a kid, that followed her as she grew up? pearl_o, was it? The stories were from the girl's perspective, and the were just superb. So, see, I'm not inflexible. Just very, very hard to please.
