This was terrific! You gave a complete sense of the community; for a second I thought I was looking at one of those charming Canadian indie films about wacky small towns :-) I winced for Ray when the naughty parts of the basket were revealed, and for a second I thought the fic was going to morph into something where Ray is completely mortified and the whole town rejects him. I liked the actual ending much better; it was sweet and cute and *sigh* featured Happy Fraser, which always makes me smile. Good job!
