On Pairings and Other Procrastinating Devices.
Well, since I'm here anyway, I won't even pretend that I haven't been obsessively looking at friend's pages just to not write this bloody essay. Although, so far, I'm actually rather eloquent. I suppose the subject matter - death, in case you're wondering - is stimulating. Or something.

1. What are five pairings you haven't written but would like to?
Well, I haven’t tried my hand at writing actual, you know, HET, so maybe R/H.
Also, Snape/Harry, but it’s tough to pull off well, and only a select few have. But I’d still try. *coughs*
Ron/Harry, because it’s just so bloody adorable.
I’d love to write femmslash, but can’t find any suitable HP pairings... Help, someone?
2. What are five uncommon pairings you would like to see (regardless of whether or not you write them)?
That I haven’t seen yet? Oh, I dunno... It seems like everything’s been done, including Dobby/Dumbledore, so... hmm. (And ICK, by the way, in case you were wondering.)
3. What are five (or fewer, if you haven't done that many) pairings you've written?
R/S. J/L, as an auxiliary to my R/S. And my OC/OC, I suppose... Oh, and there was the Remus/OC, but that wasn’t pairing as much as just a one-night-fuck.
4. What are your five favorite pairings you've read?
R/S (no way!)

Snarry (I love that name...who came up with it first, anyway? Was it Jadis?)
Ron/Harry
5. Your favorite canon!student pairing(s)?
R/H
R/H (the other one)
6. Your favorite Marauder-era pairing(s)?
I’ll give you less than one guess.
7. Your favorite pastfic (i.e. before 1970s) pairing(s)?
*shrugs*
8. Your favorite canon!adult/student (over the age of consent and/or after they've finished at Hogwarts) pairing(s)?
Snape/Harry, and I stand by that, and worship the angst and the snark that it rests on. No, really. I don’t even feel guilty anymore. It fucking rules.

Incidentally, speaking of R/S (someone was speaking of R/S?), I am currently reading the most amazing fic. It's tough, angst-RIDDEN, beautifully written and it's keeping me from writing my essay. It's LONG. And it's just...words cannot describe. I can't give my full impression yet, as I'm not finished. BUT. I do highly recommend it. It's not conventional, which is good, and the writing, like I said, is simply stunning. Original to such an extent that seeing a commonly-used phrase is almost like a let-down. But those come along very rarely. (Roche, if you're reading, I specifically think you might like it.)

And now off to...write my essay. I swear. My goal for today is to finish it, and dammit, finish it I shall. YES.
