(Holy crap, I slept for nearly eleven hours. o.O)

And, oh guys, let me tell you about this girl, all right?

I have no idea how we met. We didn't have a fandom in common. I saw an icon of hers somewhere, at SOME POINT, I don't even know what, and it either had Tom Waits or P.J. Harvey lyrics on it - I don't even remember.

And after we both graduated from college, we realized that we were in the same city. That is ALL WE HAD IN COMMON.

We said, hey, wanna meet? So, on May 25, 2005, we met up in torrential rain, in Central Sq., and sat in The Middle East, drinking beer, and talking "House".

I thought she was just way too fucking cool for me. I turned out, she could stoop to my level. And I am so. Fucking. Glad. that she chose to.

After that, we started meeting up kind of regularly, watching shit together. (Once, I was leaving her house just as "Duet" was being aired on SciFi. I thought, SGA? Ppppft. Whatevs.)

And now, if I don't see her for a week (WHICH I HAVEN'T OMG) I don't even know what to do with myself.

Anyway, the point is, it's been nearly two years and I love her so much, I don't know what I'd do without her. She's the friend that will bring you tea and curl up next to you when you're breaking down at her house, she's the friend that will put up with you for days at a time, even if you're not the best company for those days. She's beautiful and talented and smart and funny and incredible. She'll pull you into a fandom without you even noticing (HELLO, DUE SOUTH) and she'll know the most obscure fandoms and crossovers, too, which is kind of scary.

She is just amazing, guys. I miss her and love her, and R.?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, baby! I love you. I wanted so much to be there for you today. I will do what I can to see you tomorrow.
