mrsronweasley: (more queers!!)

Well.

Update. Haven't updated in only a couple of days, but, damn, why does it feel like forever? Before I write anything else, this had to see the light of day. Look at it very closely. It's one in a million. (Tell me if the link doesn't work, I'll fix it.) This was taken in the town where I live, which further proves that I'm in the right place. I mean, FUCK.

Anyway, finally got to finish QAF last night - and... GAAAAAAAHOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD, it was FUCKING AMAZING, and just...just... GAH!

Vince! And Stuart! In friggin' Arizona! And the - Alexander's BITCH-ASS MOTHER, getting what she deserved - GO STUART! And fuck, he is so damn sexy, I can't take it - and Vince is just adorable, and they didn't even get a KISS in the series, bah, but they held hands, and it was wonderful... and... *gulps* And Cameron can go to hell, so there! I realize I sound absolutely insane, but it was just...wow. The number of times my friend and I cheered and whoooped (even though she'd seen it a million times before) was just incredible. It is so fucking good. Just...guh. I felt so bad for Alexander - wanted to fucking KILL his fucking parents. And wow...Stuart coming out to his family. WOW. That was intense and so, so him - and so - FUCKING - COOL. And...and...the "It's Raining Men" scene! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! Killed me. Just...killed me. Wah.

And Nathan, becoming King of the World. Ha!

Phew. I think I'm better now. Yes. *cough*

[livejournal.com profile] stereo_m was supposed to come over last night for dinner, but she got sick, which really sucks, because she also missed April Fool's Day, the poor girl. Is that fair, I ask you? No, no it isn't. *sigh* Send her good vibes, everyone, ok?

Apart from that, not much to write about. A few days ago finished the third chapter of SET. Ha, Minx said that she'll await the next chapter in March. I can't believe it's April now. I'm much too slow. Oh, well. Haven't really been in a writing mood lately, I suppose.

The scanner here isn't working again. Bastards. It's all a giant conspiracy, I tell you.

Off to eat - had to return a book to the library before eleven, lest I get fined, which made me miss breakfast. And since I spent most of last night running around like a headless chicken looking for Moa, I also missed dinner. Mmmm, food...

Speaking of Bum and food - we really ARE the same person. I don't know many people who hate beans, apart from me. But I can't stand 'em. Turns out she can't stand them, either - for the same reasons. And, of course, we can finish each other's sentences. She needs to stay here till June, man. She can't leave so soon.

And on that note...

(Only a week and a day till [livejournal.com profile] jadis31 is here. Counting down with much anticipation...to say the least.)

R/S chicken ... how perfect :)

I had very similar reaction to QAF as you.

And too bad about Moa :(

[identity profile] rochefort.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
But – waaahh! – Sirius seems to have been putting his chicken about!! Who is 'F', do you think? Flitwick??

Well done for the past few days. Will try to get your reward ready for later tonight.

No. It's - hold your breath - Severus/Fred! The ultimate in slash pairings!

fred gives poor sev all the lightheartedness and fun he lacks, while the potions master is
busy working for his beloved's Wizard Wheezes.

percival

just thought i'd let you know

[identity profile] cybele-san.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
guess what book i ordered from my local bookstore and should arrive as soon as tomorrow :)

i'll let you know what i think about The Book.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
No, no, it's real. It's at the beta's, and everything. :)

And I'm sorry I had you worried - I should have told you... I'm trying to spend less time online nowadays, and it's working marginally well. Heh. I've missed you, too, though. *many hugs back*

Re: just thought i'd let you know

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
Oooooh! Nice, nice. You love Joyce, right? Well, I'm sure you'll love this, as well. (Although Sam is a Joyce FREAK, and is refusing to read this book precisely because it's been likened to Joyce. *sigh*) Hope you enjoy it. :)

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
Ha! I like that! Severus/Fred. *shakes head* *laughs some more*

[identity profile] perceval.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. I will come to Geekmoot as a S/F shipper. With or without canon evidence.
It's all in the subtext anyway - as easy as a piece of toast!

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
But – waaahh! – Sirius seems to have been putting his chicken about!!

LOL! Is this a British term I am not yet familiar with? Because I laughed, but I'm not sure if it was for the right reasons. As for the S/F - I've been trying to figure that one out, and the only that came to my mind was "Sirius/Fleur", because, believe it or not, it's been done. *shudders*

Well done for the past few days. Will try to get your reward ready for later tonight.

Oh, reward! Rewards are good. I slobber for them.

In fact, I shouldn't be online right now, but I got here becauseigotanideaforastandaloneficandamtryingtowriteit. Yay. I haven't got ideas for stand-alone fics for a while, so this makes me happy. Off to write in a few minutes. :)

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
It is perfect, isn't it? The GALs and I saw that and freaked. In fact, there is footage of me standing next to the sign and howling at the night sky. *sigh*

Too bad about Moa, indeed! Especially since I didn't know she got sick, and it was very hard to get a hold of either her or me, for that matter. Waaaahh... I want to seeeee her...

QAF is amazing. Watching it with like-minded people only makes it better. *G*

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
Or pumpkin pie. ;) Bwahahahaha...

Re: just thought i'd let you know

[identity profile] cybele-san.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
heh. and here i thought it would be a nice bit of 'light reading' after sludging through Proust.

oh well. james joyce!! woohoo!!!

Re: just thought i'd let you know

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
'Light reading'? Heheh... Well, lighter than Joyce, yes, but the first two pages will get you, that's for sure. I blinked through that the first time and only prayed it got easier later on. Boy, was it worth it. And as far as Joyce goes - it's definitely not in the "Finnegan's Wake" territory. And for that I'm grateful.

Re: just thought i'd let you know

[identity profile] cybele-san.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
well, given my determination to 'understand' every book i read (a sometime masochistic impulse which lead to reading Ulysses no fewer than three and a half times) i'm certain i'll love it.

i'm surprised at how quickly it will be here. i ordered it today and the woman said she can have it tomorrow. woohoo!!! i may have to unplug the computer a few days. heh.

Re: just thought i'd let you know

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
Three and a half times - that's very impressive. I haven't yet tackled that one. Sam is convinced that I won't like it, though, and I want to prove him wrong. At least he doesn't think (or at least say) that I won't understand it. Hmm.

And trust me - once you start reading it, you won't even think about the computer at all. It may be blinking all sorts of Harry/Snape goodness at you, but you won't care. I'm pretty sure that that's a promise. ;) And fast is good - I love getting stuff I order fast. Oh, for the immediate gratification!..

[identity profile] rochefort.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 08:51 am (UTC)(link)
To "put it about" is a term (British, maybe?) for bestowing one's favours liberally. The chicken bit was my own addition, appropriate to the occasion! But Sirius/Fleur? Please! I'm just about to go in to start cooking my dinner. I think I'd actually prefer Sirius/Flitwick.

Oh, reward!
Yes, forthcoming! I have written captions. Or rather, JON has written captions. All I have to do now is figure out how this damn computer works so I can upload everything...

And huzzah for standalonefics! and for creativity in general! Well done you. Do I get to see it? Should have t'other back to you for tomorrow night.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
To "put it about" is a term (British, maybe?) for bestowing one's favours liberally.

Ok, that's what I thought, then. Heh. I think it would've been even more appropriate if it was steak, or something - after all, they areI have written captions. Or rather, JON has written captions.

You're going to make me cry, aren't you? I can see it now... 'And here we have...'

Well done you. Do I get to see it?

It's stalled. Which is why I'm online again. >.< But I'm not giving up on it, at all - inspiration, and all that. I'll definitely keep working on it, and obviously, you will get to see it. Was there any doubt?

And, oooh, yay! I was just going through it myself, and picking out all the 's' instead of 'z' things, as well as fixing sentences. Gah, tinkering...tinkering...

[identity profile] soupytwist.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 11:19 am (UTC)(link)
R/S chicken! Hah! Perfect!

QAF OH DEAR GOD QAF! Woman, when - and that's WHEN - you come here I'm taking you to Canal Street. i'll even...er..learn to steal a black jeep so I can drive like Hazel through the crowd. :D

("Run like the wind... or a gay man!")

Stuart and the nasty car showroom guy! "Where do I sign?" Bwahahah. The lesbian letters! And Arizona! ("I'm sorry... WHAT did you say?") And the coming out speech!!! ("And every last one of them had the fucking time of his life!") And poor Alexander! That his *parents* would... oh, the love. I loved "Bang." though. Yay Stuart! Nathan is a twat though, even if he did become King of the World, lol. Hazel is COOL - I'm so going to end up being her, heheh, possibly including the marriage for tax purposes and everything. *snerk* And....RAINING MEN. Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. * melts* Awwwwwwwww. (And did you notice that the guy Stuart nearly sleeps with is the same one that killed Phil? I didn't the first time, but dude...)

"Big Issue, mate?"
"Yeah, it is!"

Oh!! And Stuarts "what's there to love, Vince?" "It was good enough for me." speech... waaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Only in QAF would someone telling a guy he's pathetic end up being the cutest thing. And do you think Phil actually had pictures of Vince? I think he did.

OK, I'm not obsessed with QAF. No, really. :P

That's sad about Moa, but you need to eat, woman. Stay healthy!

Love you unbelieveably, as ever. You are the sort of person who'd be able to name all the Doctors and who'd know that Paul McGann didn't count. :)

[identity profile] arborealis.livejournal.com 2003-04-02 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmm. I need to eat me some of that.

S/F....Sprout/Flitwick, what else?

QAF...mmm...have watched about half the first season, maybe a little more. It's enjoyable, yesss preciousss...

Re: Hating beans...I don't hate them, don't love them. First time I read that, though, I was like "you hate BEARS? why on earth would you do that?" But then I read again, and all became Clear.

;-)

mwah

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-03 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
You almost made me cry there, woman. *sniff* I hope I am. *pounceattack*

Woman, when - and that's WHEN - you come here I'm taking you to Canal Street.

YES, it's WHEN, not IF, and it'll be AMAZING. And, this is funny, when she drove through the crowd, I turned to Beth and went: "I've ALWAYS wanted to do that!!" Still do. VERY MUCH.

YES YES YES to everything you said about QAF. "It's good enough for me." - again, I turned to Beth and went: "WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!" Oh GOD, they were SO FRUSTRATING, but finally, finally... And Nathan playing matchmaker. He's irritating, but that was adorable. And hey, he also got his mobile. ;)

And no, I didn't notice it was the same guy - good thing Vince showed up when he did! And then of course, it started...raining men... and... *dies*

We SO have to watch that together, it's not even a question.

love you with much the same fervor. *mwah*

(The icon? Made especially for your enjoyment.)

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-04-03 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Sprout/Flitwick? Of course! Well spotted. :)

QAF...mmm...have watched about half the first season, maybe a little more. It's enjoyable, yesss preciousss...

Ah, but which QAF did you watch? Was it the American version? Because you have to, HAVE TO, see the original one, the British, because it is AMAZING, made ten times better by the fact that they're all, well, British. And really fucking hot. Like you wouldn't believe. Preciousssss, indeed...

I don't hate bears, no, but beans are icky. Hehe.

*mwah!*
