I feel a little less self-conscious than I did when I worked out back in school, with all these huge guys pumping their iron and admiring their muscles in the mirror.

That's an impediment for a LOT of people. But then you have to realize that EVERYONE started somewhere at some time. Even these huge dudes or buff ladies had a pre-gym existence. So, NEVER feel inferior. They just had a head-start. :-)
