Oh man. That was one of those fics where it basically came out exactly as I had meant it. Since writing it, I've found out that a lot of it is DEFINITELY not canon (like, Jamia having a brother, and being close with her parents, etc, etc) but I still really love the 'verse I had come up with. It's a rougher reality for Jamia, though I'm not sure about Frank.

But really, I just wanted her to be her own person, her own FORCE, and for that to shine through at Frank. They're both individuals who are devoted to each other without losing who they are. You know?

In this verse, by the time they get to having babies, they have figured out how to work together, how to live together and apart, when life calls for it, and basically are a force to be reckoned with together. I just love that IRL (at least from what we see/hear) they are a unit, they are TOGETHER. And that's what I wanted to show in this fic, how it might have happened, the evolution of their coming together.

OH BEX. OH MY GOD, THEY ARE THE BANE OF MY FUCKING EXISTENCE. BECAUSE I ACTUALLY HAVE ABOUT 2000 WORDS OF FUTURE FIC, and it's ALL IN MY HEAD, there is SO MUCH there, and I hold out hope that ONE DAY I might get it done (it's not even meant to be LONG, it's just ONE SLICE OF LIFE, WHY IS THAT HARD, I ASK YOU) but yeah. AUGH, BOYS.

They go through some ROUGH TIME, let me tell you. People who can't deal with that much responsibility over a person, PARTY OF GERARD \o\/o/\o\ They OBVIOUSLY work that shit out eventually, but it's hard, because Frank takes a while to settle into himself, and Gerard is - a mess, and he KNOWS he made the choice, but HELLO, IT'S KIND OF A BIG ONE. And when he's unhappy and starts hitting the booze a LOT and the pills and whatnot, Frank sense how bad it is, and his changes become preeeetty rough again, and it's HARD when you're TOURING, you know, and just - OH, FAILY BOYS FAILING. *hands*

Gerard becomes a comic book writer! Wooo, shocking! Frank's mom hangs the issues in their hallway. It's totally embarrassing for Gerard, but he's so pleased.

AND FOR THE REST, LET'S TUNE INTO THAT FIC I'LL PROBABLY NEVER FINISH. ;______;

(I love them SO MUCH, though. This fic burned me out, but man, I really do love that 'verse. Sigh.)

Oh man. Like I said above, with Undeniable I really did write everything that I wanted (which is rare!) As for "Without Knowing How" - that's tricky, because it isn't just my verse! But let me ask YOU - what would you like to know? :D? (I'm so mean!)

Oooooh, MAN. I love that verse, too! I've got a sequel that's been just...languishing in my WIP folder. SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH.

I think part of it is that it feels complete to me, despite the fact that I have that idea for a sequel, and what I really want to get across is how they go from "starting to date" to "relationship" and all that it implies. I really, really want that. Like. The feeling Gerard gets when he, like, gets up in the middle of the night to pee, comes back, and Frank is there, sleeping between Gerard's sheets. You know? So, I hope to, someday.

As for "deleted scenes": oh man. The plan was actually to have Frank fuck Gerard after their big gut-spilling talk (after the fight) and I wrote, uhm, about three different versions, which all sucked equally, before I realized that NOPE, Frank just COULD NOT TOP. I was seriously stuck on that scene for WEEKS. It was awful. When I finally figured out that MAYBE IT'S JUST NOT GONNA HAPPEN, things clicked into place. WOOO. Seriously. I wrote the BIGGEST BOTTOM FRANK EVER, apparently. \o\/o/\o\

(Oh, and sometime in the future, Gerard will have a showing in New York, and it will be all Frank. But it will actually BE Frank, not Gerard-disguised-as-someone-else. Frank's face, Frank's quirks, Frank's...Frankness. :D)

So much :D! I could seriously talk about the Frank and Gerard in that 'verse for AGES. I think I love it so much 'cause even though it's still totally them, it's such a different version than we usually get in fic (be it AU or band canon). Because they are stuch dorks and nerds and can be mottsy and awkward and stuff. But they are also grown-ups, with skill and confidence and drive and strong relationships with their family, friends and co-workers. And that's how you write them in that fic. Total grown-ups, and coming into it with past-relationship baggage, but also ability to get shit sorted. Also really fucking sexy and hot and flirty. AND I HAVE ALREADY RE-READ IT ONCE THIS WEEK AND I THINK I MIGHT HAVE TO READ IT AGAIN TONIGHT!

I remember you posting a little snippet of the sequel, with Gerard going into Skeleton. I am more than happy to cheerlead or be a sounding board or bake you cookies if you ever felt like writing more of it. :D? And I love the thought of a Frankly Frank exhibition. ♥
