okay so i’ve told you before why i think generally you’re a great and inspiring person so this time i’m gonna focus on something about your writing

one of the things about your writing i really admire is how you write about these small moments, purchasing books or taking a plane or whatever, and these really big ideas, like love and relationships, and somehow make them seem equally important and worth experiencing. there’s this tangible sense of ‘the present’ in how you write, and every scene makes me feel a little breathless, like i might miss something if i don’t pay attention as if your written moments will disappear as lived ones do.

i'm so glad that we're friends and that we've been getting to know each other even better lately! i love talking to you, you're so warm and insightful and sweet and funny and i love our little commiseration sessions. also you're balls-out talented, i love your fic! and one day i am going to try to make your chicken thighs and i DO think i will ascend to a higher plane when doing so
