So...

EDITED TO SAY:

I'm hired.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Had my interview today. (Yes, on a Sunday! Heh.) The funniest thing was the location of that interview. You see, when Anna and I were taking those highly inappropriate pictures from a certain book, there was a door right next to us. Umm, the interview was right behind that door. I think it's a good thing I've cut my hair. Err... *cough*

Anyway, they're calling me tomorrow to tell me for sure, but they said I was the best candidate, so... YAY!

Oh, please, please, please take me... >.<

I'm starting to get used to be new 'hair', and actually I'm kind of liking it... It's easy to deal with, that's for sure. Wash it, run some gel through it, and let it dry. I may be seduced by the simplicity of it all.

And I've realized that I probaby need explain my entry on the sexuality on TV and all that.

You see, I don't mind sexuality. I just don't think that it's being handled well on TV. I don't think sex is a bad thing. I don't think nudity is a bad thing. I just get tired of it when it's paraded in front of me 24/7. I love looking at nude pictures when they're handled well. I am very interested in human sexuality. But I don't want it forced on me, and I don't like the way it's done, so blatantly on TV, and, quite frankly, it just bores me when it's like that. I don't expect high art from music videos, but I expect them to be at least somewhat artistic and the way they are done, they're just plain boring. I don't think much thought is put into the choreography or props. It's all the same, it's obvious, it's not interesting. No, I don't like porn. Why? Because it's not interesting. Why do I like smut? Because that DOES interest me. When there's a back story, when more is described than just the actual action. I don't know. It's probably hypocritical. I guess what it is is that I don't want anything stuffed down my throat, and that's how it feels. I used to actually watch TV and enjoy it. Now, I just watch three shows, at most. The rest I'm just not interested in. I used to watch Vh-1 to hear music, a looong time ago. Sometimes, they played good stuff. Well, not anymore. Oh, well. I like me my CD's, and I like me my smut, so combining the two is very very nice. So, ha. Heh.

Ai, I'd love to work at a bookstore. I don't believe that our town's bookstore hires high school students though. Bugger all.

(and hey, maybe the reason that they liked you so much was because they knew you'd been taking pictures of That Certain Book, eh, eh? Who knows what goes on in the back rooms...)

My mother is always trying to get me to cut my hair veryvery short. "It'll be so easy handle! It drys in an instant!" I know, I know, but no. My hair, though it doesn't look it most of the time, is quite curly. And it would just look odd.

I'll join the ranks of wanting to see Liz's Ca-razy New Hair. Because.

[identity profile] aneli8.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 11:32 am (UTC)(link)
Pictures of said Ca-razy New Hair are now uploaded. :)

I'll leave it to Liz to show them. But she looks absolutely adorable.

*scowls*

Heheh...

*MWAH*

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 11:43 am (UTC)(link)
Stupid bookstores that don't hire high school people. It's not the age. It's the maturity. I always say that, no one ever believes me...

And oh God, I fear security cameras! >.<

Mothers ALWAYS try that, why is that? My mother is LOVING my hair! She's like: you look wonderful! I always said so!

Aigharhgiarhgahfa..

Heh. Yeah. In a minute...

CONGRATS! The people you will get to convert...whoaaaaaa. :D

And you are an idiot -- I have just seen Anna's post and you still look cute, dammit.

::hugs::

The people you will get to convert...whoaaaaaa. :D

They won't know what hit them, man. ;)

>.< Thank you... But... it's so... short! Ok, I have to get over it. Hair grows. I know.

Thank you :)

Liz to a customer: Yes, yes, that's a lovely book, but really, you don't want to buy it.

Customer: Er...

Liz: Let me lead you inconspicuously over here and- oh, would you look at that! It's 'At Swim, Two Boys'. What a coincidence.

...

:D

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
Do you know, they had sold out of them! They need to restock! I mean, not that I looked - er, and looked and looked, but wheee, people are buying them! They'll be flying off the shelf, I tell you, FLYING!

And that...sounds just about right. ;) Bwahahahaha...

[identity profile] aneli8.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 12:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? Dude that rocks! :)

Heh, soon enough, people will be coming in asking you to sign their copies ;)

You mean, again! ;)

See, that's what I was trying to say, only I'm incapable of such coherent thoughts. Curses!

Oh, and I saw your pics, don't be silly. Your hair's not even bad, it's not as if you had a mullet or anything. :D I was a hairdresser once upon a time, and trust me, not a bad hair cut. You look cute!!

XOxoXO
Dee

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
See, that's what I was trying to say, only I'm incapable of such coherent thoughts.

Hehe, gotcha.

And trust me - THIS was not the bad haircut. This is the second cut, after I HAD been mutilated (trust me, the second hair dresser was HORRIFIED). It's the bettered version. There was just little left to work with after it was cut, which is why this was so short, and, well. Yeah. LOL.

Bu thank you!

Oh, cool! Is the store nice? Does it smell good? How big? Do they have a good sci-fi section, and a good hardbacks section, and a good collectibles section, and a good used section? Don't tell me it's an all new books store.

I'd love to work in a bookstore, but I'm not nearly literate enough to be a good advice person, and otherwise it's a bit boring. Although I guess you progress quickly once you're actually working there.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, cool! Is the store nice?

It IS! And it IS an all new books store, but there's a reason for it. I know that sounds confusing, but yeah, it's wonderful. It has SO much, it's great.

And I'll be doing cashiering, mostly, so my 'literateness' won't come into play too much, anyway. ;) But I'll be surrounded by books, and that makes me Very Very Happy.

(Aha, ya tak mogu skazat' - eto official'ny garvardskiy magazin, poetomu tam novye knigi. Tam eschio i uchbniki est', no v drugoy chasti magazina. No tam kuuucha vsego!)

[identity profile] azazello.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Da, ya tozhe takie obozhayu! No tut tri-chetyre etazha, i ochen' mnogo raznyh knig, tak-chto tozhe sovsem neploho!

[identity profile] azazello.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
BTW, do you know which HP editions are the best (from both Scholastic and Bloomsbury)? I've just bought these (http://www.bloomsbury.com/BookCatalog/subject.asp?Category%5Fid=446) (the box set) from amazon.uk (but I think I can still cancel)... can you recommend a better edition? (I'm not a collector freak, but I do like hardbacks with proper binding, pretty cover design, good typesetting, and good paper. For a sane price.)

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Those are really good - they're special editions, and are beauuuutiful. I've held them in my hands before. You've made a wise choice. :)

[identity profile] skels.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
w00000t! Congratulations! Hurrah!

*cracks open Champers*

That's great Liz, I can just picture you now, straightening the 'At Swim' display and sneaking a read on your breaks. hehehe. Well done dahling!

Yay work!
Also, Andy now has the book. (Heh.) He also wants to friend you once he gets back from the middle of nowhere, if that's all good.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
That IS all good, of course! And yay, he'll love it. Woohoo!

Agree with all the sex-on-tv thoughts. :) Chicks shaking their ass two inches from a camera gets damn OLD after, oh.. one video.

You look ADORABLE with your hair. I wish I looked that good with short hair. >.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
One video IS quite enough. If THAT.

Awww, thank you! And, pishposh! Silliness.

[identity profile] sff-corgi.livejournal.com 2003-07-20 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Congratulations, and here's something pretty for you to celebrate with (if you haven't seen it yet....)

Pretty watercoloury R/S art (http://www.eonet.ne.jp/~musi/potter/R_f/tea.html)

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-21 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, like I wouldn't know Mushi's art. ;) Thanks! Now, here's a question: how come YOU are looking at R/S art? Hmmm? Hehe...

[identity profile] sff-corgi.livejournal.com 2003-07-21 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I had no way of knowing if you had seen this specific one, did I?! Could have been new or summat....

And I was looking at it because:
A: somebody had linked to it and
   B: it's REALLY really good.

Nyah. [sticks out tongue, runs and hides]

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-07-21 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Just teasing!!

Honestly, that was very very thoughtful, thank you. :)

And it IS lovely, isn't it? *sigh*

[identity profile] sff-corgi.livejournal.com 2003-07-23 12:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I knew that. I'm just terribly literal. ;)

*mwah*

[identity profile] soupytwist.livejournal.com 2003-07-21 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG!! That's SO GREAT! Wow!! They're clearly a very superior bookshop to appreciate your wonderfulness so. :)

And of course, I agree with you about the way-too-overdone-and-not-even-SEXY-dammit thing. *nods vigorously*

Oh yeah - I love you a whoooooole hell of a lot. *adores*
