What a difference smut can make?..
Last night
remuslover made my week. (Sounds exciting, doesn't it?) She told me that she had recommended my "Revenge..." to a woman who had never read R/S before, which threw me off a bit, because that story is smut-galore. I mean, they shag in an alley, for crying outloud, and there's 'a whole lot of rimming going on'. Well, it turned out that the woman loved that story so much that she didn't even say goodbye to Ni online. She went immediately to her husband, woke him up and...well. You get the picture.
Oh my God, I am so proud. I mean, how cool is that?!
Hehe...

Ok, I had to.
And ok, I can see that. I just never saw it myself, but that is totally ok. I'm not actually THAT concerned with the kiddies' romances, but if asked, I'm definitely in the R/H pool.
Just out of curiosity, why do you refuse to ship Harry with anybody?

To be honest, I don't really ship anyone save Remus/Sirius. I'm more interested in large character dynamics - especially Harry/Sirius/Remus/Snape and Marauders/Lily/Snape. The only fic that ever sucked me into a younger generation romance was After the End (despite my H/H leanings...). I look for R/S first and after that for good gen fic, which unfortunately is hard to find, since a lot of people's ideas of gen seem to involve a suspicious amount of shipping... :)
But, yeah. I like Harry as a character. I'm not interested in him as romantic lead. I'm sure we'll get enough of that in canon, eventually.
the icon was just begging to made when I saw the picture ^_^

I know what you mean about shipping. I can understand that. Harry has the potential to be a very very interesting character, and in fanfic, I've seen him portrayed in so many different ways. And shipping seems to be a huge thing, it does penetrate the darkest corners. Heh.
