I am so goddamn tired of the fucking crickets. Wow. No words.

Onto better things, a while back, when I first got this computer (well, I was told I was getting it), Moa and I came up with a name for it - because it's Mr Mwa Ha's friend (even though they come from different species, being a Mac and a PC) and Mr Mwa Ha's friend needs a name. So, we came up with the perfect name and promptly forgot it.

Yesterday, while finally talking online and weeping on each other's virtual shoulders from the novelty, we remembered that we had named this thing something. What was it? We couldn't remember. And then Moa, being much cooler than me, remembered. She's a clever girl.

So, ladies and gentlemen, I give you...

Paddy.

Paddy is a friendly computer, a nice counterpart to his, er, friend. He is - hopefully - reliable and not prone to temper tantrums (so far). We like Paddy.

Paddy works. On so many levels, I can't even count them all.

Hiya, Paddy! Welcome to the madness. And sorry about the crickets, 'cos I know how annoying they can be (I have to keep them for my lizard, and last summer my mother bought some that chirped. We had to let them go in the backyard because we couldn't stand them anymore).

I caught the cricket that was hiding behind the fridge last night. Totally sympathise - the buggers are LOUD! And the damned chameleon wouldn't even eat it. So the difference between your crickets and my crickets are mine were brought into the house. Intentionally. o_O

Oh, and a hello to Paddy. Chibi POCky says hi. (Acronym for Piece of Crap, and it's the laptop, hence Chibi - name inspired by the lovely

soupytwist, who else?) And Chibi POCky only says hi after he reboots because he doesn't want to bring up the connect to the internet icon from the shortcut. Maybe he could learn a thing or two from Paddy.

I can't believe I haven't saluted Paddy yet!
