Eowyn is wonderful. I want to be her. Aragorn needs his head examined, choosing Arwen instead. All she does is whisper in a way that's meant to be meaningful, shut her eyes in faux anguish and lie about the place like a bad pre-Raphaelite painting.

I want to be Eowyn, too. She got Faramir in the end - that's very cool. Aragorn doesn't know what he lost, and I really really don't understand the decision to make Arwen into a bigger part than she was in the books. You never ever see her talk, ever. Ever. And it's better that way. In the movie, yeah, she's gorgeous, but that's about it. They way you described her was right on the money. Faux anguish, indeed. Eowyn will kick her ass in this movie.

Like practically every other shot Arwen was in the trailer? She was crying. >:p And the whole Aragorn touching Eowyn's face? Jackson's turned me into an Aragorn/Eowyn movie shipper.

But the movie looks AMAZING. Even more so than expected. And Merry and Pippin... I just know he'll do them right. Darling little hobbitses.

Me too! In the book, it was obvious that he looked at her as a daugher, almost, you know? But here, because of the actors and the direction, there's more to it, and that's just upsetting me. Poor Eowyn. *sigh*
