thank you. i called him, we talked for about a minute - i really felt stupid and didn't know what to say, but he understood, i KNOW he did. he thanked me and he meant it. i just felt so stupid - all i could say was "i'm so sorry". i still can't believe he's GONE. it's just so strange... but thank you, dear. ::hugs::

You never know what to say in a situation like that. Everything sounds so trite and cliched. However, just knowing that you cared enough to call is likely the thing that he appreciates the most.
