On Websites.

Ok. I have given up trying to pretend that I know anything about computers. I'm very much computer illiterate. I can make images - that's about all.

I have also given up on ff.net. Since a few of my stories are NC-17, I want a place that will not care about the writing.

I've started making my own site, but it Hasn't Been Going Well. I can't really make a website, I know that now. I have the welcome page half-done, and that's about it.

So, what I'm saying is this - if anyone out there could maybe offer their services, and help me, I would appreciate it A LOT. I want to have an archive of fanfiction and fanart - and, hopefully, also host other stories and art that I love.

So, there's that. I'm not hosted on any other sites besides AL and ff.net (and the good ol' SBRL ML), so I thought I would do this.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

I'm setting up my own fic/art site on a subdomain Madelyn gave me (http://daydream.bluisland.com). I was going to host some small guest galleries and things for anyone who wanted them, but I would also gladly make it a two-person web-master web-mistress project with the smaller sidegalleries, and could make it a This Person and This Person and These Other People Who Sent In One Or Two Things erm...thing. If you get the picture.

In other words, a site partnership. I don't know fancy flash, but I'd like to think I'm decent at HTML. And look, it's a ~subdomain~ Yay.

Well, just gather up all of your art into a folder, and then all of your fic into a folder, and send the folders to me when I need them (which will be as soon as I finish some base HTMLing that I've been meaning to get around to on the front page) You can tell m what you want there, how you want it organized page-wise (if you want thumbnails in the gallery, or whatnot and soforth) and what you want each individual page to say, and I'll code it and upload it for you. It's really not asking a lot.

Alas I don't have the time for proper webstuff, but HTML advice or whatever is still a-okay if you need it. :)

(And dammit, it seems my reply to your last post but one was freakin' eaten by LJ! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Still, it boiled down to hugs and "scared is perfectly normal and you'll get through it", both of which you probably guessed would be my response anyway. :) Still wonder where it went, though...)
