On the way that life works.

This is a rather amusing tale - listen to this, everyone.

So, um, I had about three or four stories that I'd been working on for the past few months. One of them was, of course, the not-yet-finished-but-definitely-not-abandoned second chapter of "Someone Else's Truth", then there was a finished-but-not-yet-beta'd companion piece to "Mad", which I was quite proud of, and a story about how old Harry Potter looks back on his life and that of his godfather. I believe there were a few others, but I can't remember what they were at the moment.

And, as I was gathering up all my stuff into one folder, I went to open the disk that contained all of these.

Funny thing, though. It wouldn't open. It wasn't 'formatted'. Now, you may remember something very similar happening earlier this summer - and it is quite similar, yes, except for a couple differences. This was a completely different disk, one that I had doublechecked that it worked, and also, the only computer that could possibly open this disk is, in fact, in Long Island. I, funnily enough, am not. And won't be for another year, or so.

Isn't that quite amusing? I thought so. Rather humorous...
