Oh Drunk Muse of Jude-like laws...

Jo and I were just picking out hostels for our three days in Dublin. The main priority: it has to be close to O'Neill's so we can stumble home enbriated without the help of a taxi. It had to be cheap, too. Unfortunately, the cheapest hostels were across the river from O'Neill's. So, the stumbling home drunk will have to happen with the help of a cab, like last time. Because there was no way I was making it to Paddy's Palace that one night. And there is no reason why this visit should be any different.

I saw Jude Law on "Inside the Actor's Studio" today, and have three thoughts on the matter:

1) He looks actually evil, in a strange and pretty sort of way. He will also forever be Bosie for me, whichever way he turns.

2) He's much too serious for my liking, and actually almost bored me.

3) He should just not talk and be pretty. Because he's really really pretty. But he shouldn't really talk.

I'm tired. Good night.

Four Courts Hostel on Merchants Quay is the best. Clean, lovely, friendly, and it has some cute workers! ;)

Oh, good lord, it's soooo faaaaar! We walked by it once, and that was far far away from civilization. :-P We actually already picked a hostel, we'll see how it goes... But thank you. It's good to have another Dublin-junkie around. ;)

Far?! 100 meters from Dublin castle and just a little further is Trinity! I suppose it depends on where you want to be, though. Where is O'Neills? :p

Can I ask where you are staying? I'm going for a week in February and haven't decided if I should stay at the Four Courts again. (And I thought of another hostel to recommend to you last night but it has flown out of my head now..damn.)

Liz :)

I deleted my first response to this so I could put in my COOL Dublin icon!

Is it that close? I remember it being FAAAAR...but that's probably because it was a)raining, b)we'd been walking for some time by that point, and c) we were walking towards Arbour Hill, which is...very very very far away.

O'Neill's is...very close to Grafton St. as well as Dame St. - it's kind of in between, if that makes sense. It's green. It's purty. :P

We're staying at...don't remember...ha! Last time we stayed a Paddy's Palace which was VERY VERY clean, and nice. (And called Paddy's Palace, the main reason for us choosing it.) One night, we spent at the Chelsea which you should never ever go to, because the bathrooms were disgusting and there was an honest-to-God hole in the floor. So...just say no.

LOVE the icon ;)

A-fucking-men!

Same with Orlando Bloom. Limit it to "How should I dress for you today?" why doncha Honey.

*lick*

What about "would you NOT dress for us today, Honey?"

I'd much prefer it.

Oooooh....I like that idea. Plus outfits....and elf ears. Hee

Ours is Oliver St John Gogharty's (not so sure on that spelling) and it's joined to Gogharty's pub (the one famous for traditional music) and in Temple Bar, if that's any help. It's also clean, nice and cheap (with breakfast), but if you want it cheaper you'll have to share a dorm (15 is cheapest).

Oh, we're totally doing dorm-style ;) Ours is Isaacs, and we found it's the cheapest. I've actually been to the bar you mention. Temple Bar isn't quite my favorite part of town just because it's so touristy, but it was fun. I still prefer O'Neill's for sentimental reasons. ;)
