(no subject)

I am so tired, I'm about to keel over right here. But I can't. So, I am here to wish you all happy Friday the Thirteenth.

By the way, I haven't really talked about how much I love Bravo, so let me do so now.

First of all, they are the network that brought us "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy."

Second of all, they show, all in all, four episodes of "The West Wing" a day. Yeah. A day.

A couple of weeks ago, they had a double feature of drag: "To Wong Foo, or Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

And this Valentine's Day, they're showing... ready for it?... the most romantic film in all of cinematic history ... "Fatal Attraction."

And, a few days ago, when I couldn't sleep and was watching TV at 1 in the morning, they had a commercial for a 'dating' (cough*sex*cough) service exclusively for men. They actually showed lots of muscly sweaty guys and...no women. I'm not a big fan of sleazy commercials like that, but this amused me the fuck out of me.

I'm not sure when Bravo became 'The Queer Network' but they did, and I appreciate it very much. And, let me just boast here and say that I've been a Bravo fan for years now, and I still remember the days when it was commercial-free, way back in 1993 to about 1996 or 1997.

Bravo rocks.

I'm sure I had something else to say here, but my mind's a tired blank, so I'm off. Hope everybody has a great weekend and, well, lots of love to you.

We need one here in Greece too.

There was a channel airing Queer as Folk (after midnight of course*rolls eyes*), but they cut it.

Not too mention that they took legal actions against a Greek TV series that showed two men kissing.

I'm disgusted. It's a thing that make me really ashamed of my country. And it's sad. Really sad. It's ironic. Most of the greatest men in our history were gay. I mean in ancient Greece it was a very common thing. And considered natural. What happened to us?

People are stupid.

My God, I had no idea that things in Greece were that bad where homosexuality was concerned. It IS rather ironic, considering all the history. Let's see here... Socrates... Plato... Alexander the Great... I know I'm missing about a hundred thousand. I'm sorry things suck so much. :-/ People ARE stupid. That's a sad fact.

Bravo for Bravo!

Plus, plus, plus, they are the network that saved Keen Eddie. Hot New York cop. In London. Hot British partner. IN LONDON. They totally play up the HoYay. And did I mention? IT'S SET IN LONDON!

"Fatal Attraction" on Valentine's Day? That kicks ass. I love it when network execs have a sense of humour.

Yes, that's ANOTHER thing I forgot! Of course. BRITISH SOIL ON TV. Few things make Liz happier. *whimper* IT IS SET IN LONDON!

And Bravo TV execs are brilliant. Simply brilliant.

you forgot the real genuis of Bravo's superbowl sunday programing. a few hours of Queer Eye followed by a few hours of gay weddings. I didn't watch it, but I was still comforted just knowing it was on.

I LOVE the fact that they are now the all gay channel. It makes me smile.

and I hope you don't keel over. at least not in public *coughpennstationcough*

Love and Toast,
Jo

YES! I KNEW there was something else - of course! A night of gay weddings! Sadly, the show blew, but still. It counts! AND it was during the SuperBowl! *sigh* Gotta love Bravo.

at least not in public *coughpennstationcough*

Aw, I liked the gay weddings. Or. I liked those two lesbians, anyway. The cute ones. Man, they were cute. I could have watched a whole show just 'bout them.

Erin and I totally perved on them the whole time. Course it's hard to watch tv from separate time zones, but.

Gayness and Britishness and COOLNESS oh my! Dude.

(And they are proof of sam/josh, then, since TWW is on the queer channel. :D)

*huggles and loves and adores*
