(no subject)

Quick note because I'm a dork who doesn't want to upset anybody:

I'm on my break at work, and I don't have time to slather everybody with love (I know I should really have used a different word for it, but 'slather' was the first to come to mind, and, well, the last), so I will do so tomorrow. I promise! On...on my THREE COPIES OF AT SWIM! And those are sacred.

Got the haircut, by the way, and while I know I will get used to it, three words:

REALLY FUCKING SHORT.

Yeah.

LOL! Poor baby! Look at the bright side, hair grows faster in the Spring.

LOL, does it? I'll have to hope for that. My thinking was: shorter hair grows faster! My boyfriend had to tell me it was a common misconception, but he can go bite it. I'm more used to it now, but seeing the shadow of my head with ears is still weird...

Yes, the more sun your head gets, the faster your hair grows - warmer tempretures also play a major factor. We're biologically backwards in that respect. We grow our 'winter coat' during the hot part of the year.

It must be nice to be able to towel dry your hair though. It takes me 15 minutes to get mine to the damp stage with a blowdryer :b

Oh, man, that's some hair! Wow... Sounds gorgeous, even if very time-consuming. Mine does dry in about give minutes now. It's a little strange...as is washing my hair, which basically consists of me trying to pull a hand through my hair and ending up with empty air and lots of foam.

And hurrah for Spring! I always knew I loved it, but this gave me even more reason to. :-P

Hurrah for Spring is right! It's 55 degrees right now, and I can't wait to go outside and play..ie have lunch on the terrace of the Thai place next to me.

And yes, I must be related to Hermione somehow. (G) I've still got noting on either Arabella or Jedi B though. Sheesh

Do you like your hair really short?

And why have you got 3 copies of ASTB? Which reminds me - I really need to read it again. Yep, early bedtime for me tonight!

I do like my hair short, but, um, not THAT short. I'm more used to it now, though. So, I guess it isn't so bad. Having people tell me it looks nice also helps. :-P

My three copies of ASTB, well... One is my original one, British paperback. Then, there is the American paperback that [livejournal.com profile] firelocks got signed for me in NY a year ago. And the third one is a first-edition British hardback that I will cherish for as long as I live.

Have a wonderful re-read! *sigh*

all three? isn't that a little dangerous? what if something happens and you CAN'T post today... does the universe just take them away? of do those of us you owe a slathering to get to take them? (like my two copies aren't enough)

If I were you, I would have sworn by something a little more expendable, like your right arm...

just a thought.

Love and CautionTape,
Jo

Ha! Nobody gets them, because I did it! So, there. :-P I knew I would, see, so I was pretty safe there. You're right, though, I'll be more careful in the future... OT, I know I owe you a shitload of emails. I'm sorry. I'll have to get my head back together before I reply... :-/

Love you! (As you can tell from below. :-P)

Mmmm... Slathering. I don't think I've ever seen that word used outside of a women's magazine ("slather lotion on arms"-- why don't they ever use definite articles in those things?). Points to you.

My mother always says, "it's just hair. It'll grow back." But I say, "your short hair shows off your gorgeous face and swanlike neck even better now, Liz."

why don't they ever use definite articles in those things?

I'm not sure, but maybe they're trying to be cautious? "What if the Person slathers the lotion on somebody else's arms? What then? Will they sue us for mal-directions? We can't have that! Let's be vague! Vague is good!"

And you've made me blush, though laugh, too. If I had a nickel for every time I cursed my short neck, I'd be a rich woman. You just haven't met me. :-P But thank you, what a lovely thing to hear (see). I'm getting more used to it. I'm also looking forward to it growing out a bit...

That's how I felt when I got my hair cut a couple weeks ago. I am just now getting used to it. It takes a while...

How short did you get yours cut? (I wonder if we're alike at the moment. ;)) You're only now getting used to it? Wow, that must have been a radical change. Can we see? ;)
