My Philosophy prof. today, on 'Who Was Alexander The Great's Tutor,' as asked by a student:
"Aristotle was his tutor. Which just shows that even brilliant philosophers can have lousy students!"
See Liz fume. See Liz anger. See Liz steam out of her ears.
Sorry, but I have a soft spot for Alexander, and I'm pretty sure he was a lot of things, but 'lousy student' was not among them. Hello.
I hate that man. And if he compares America to Rome ONE MORE TIME, I'm going to lose it.
In still crappy news, "The West Wing" just keeps declining and declining. Last night's episode was such total crap. The dialogue is not concise, it's boring, it has no purpose, and the stories are turning more and more pro-Bush, it seems, which is making me twitch and retch. It's subtle, but it's there, and soon, Leo will become even more unrecognizable than he is now. Josh is almost being written out, Will, who's actually a great character, is barely there, and all it is war, war, war. Or eminent war. Or metaphorical war. Or whatever war. We later watched an old episode (last season's season finale, I think) and oh my God, the quality of that show. That was an amazing episode. Everything was there. Everyone was there. It was just...so good. Fucking John Wells. He ruined the show.
I promise this is the last time I'll bitch about this, but had to get it out.
But it's Thursday! Which means that tomorrow is Friday, and then it's the weekend. How can that not be happy?

Your professor obviously needs to take Don't Suck 101 as well. Maybe you can tell him it's in the continuing ed. catalogue and you think he could benefit. (And then there's always the end-of-year review. Not that I ever put, "At the end of my life, I'm going to want the 24 hours I spent in this room back" on one of those or anything.)
Re:
Oh, I don't think so, missy.
My professor needs to go back to school and be taught by better people. He's an ass. I am so quoting you on this, by the way. Oh yeah.)
Oh, and nice icon. Hehe. Hehehe. Heh.

I hate David Boreanaz
Who, Fat David B.? Heh heh, I didn't make that up but it's funny. Heh heh heh.
My neighbor's probation just ended. He was on probation for, much like Law and Order dude, beating the crap out of a homophobe. My neighbor rules!

"Italy has an over-life-size glamour which still lingers; when all Italians were conscious exponents of beauty and all statesmen Machiavellian. Surely this country should be mourned over, which produced so many illustrious men and emperors, so many leaders in war, which was the nurse of so many excellent rulers, the parent of so many and such great virtues, the mother of so many good arts, the country from which flowed military discipline, purity of morals and life, the decrees of the law, the models of all the virtues, and the knowledge of right living. She who was once mistress of the world is now, by the injustice of fortune, which overturns all things, not only despoiled of her empire and her majesty, but delivered over to the basest servitude, misshapen and degraded, her ruins alone showing forth her former dignity and greatness."
-Poggio Bracciolini, Lament On the Ruins of Rome
