Last night, Sam, our friend, and I were sitting around, watching "That 70's Show." I had an overwhelming urge to cover myself entirely with a blanket that was lying next to me. I did. A few minutes later, I heard Sam call my name, and without much pause, something hard hit me in the nose. From across the room. Sam decided to get my attention by throwing his phone in my general direction. My nose isn't broken, and it didn't even bleed, but it hurts like a bitch, it's a bit swollen, and this officially makes it the second time that I've gotten hit in the head with a very hard object from across the room. The first was at NYU, playing scattegories. Anybody ever play that? With the scattegories dice? You know how much that fucker hurts when it hits you square in the forehead from a distance of six feet?

Yeah. Boys suck. But at least now that the pain has subsided a little bit, I can see the humor in the situation. But only because nothing broke. Because, you know, I'm not that crazy about my nose in the first place. Having it be broken like a boxer's wouldn't have made it better.

Ouch. The nose is THE most painful place to get hit. I speak from experience with three soccer balls. :p
