This is an addiction. But that's not why I'm here. I went back to search for more from the same Russian author that I talked about earlier. She was wonderful, and I love her, and she is a big part of my childhood. Her books were mostly focused on a very famous Russian teacher, Anton Makarenko. I won't get into why this man was amazing, why he matters, why her books matter, etc. It isn't the point right now. The point is that I found this book, called Makarenko: his life and work: articles, talks, and reminiscences. It includes articles by Vigdorova (the wonderful woman), Gorky, and - ohgodohgodohgod - a man who was a pupil of his, who went on to become a teacher/director of one of the orphanages in Leningrad, who was the main character in a trilogy BY Vigdorova, meaning that it's somebody about whom I know from semi-biography, talking... IN HIS OWN WORDS - about his teacher.

That's not the main point.

The point is that this book is located in Kenny's Bookshop. Yeah. In Galway.

What are the odds? I don't know. But I wish I'd known about it when I WAS in Kenny's Bookshop. That way I might actually have bought, because damn, but I can't pay for this shipping. My mom's already looking it up in the Widener catalog. Maybe they have it. Yay, library.

They've got it! I'm going to have it tonight. I love my mom, the librarian.
