On Wilde Words.

So, I now have the following quotes on my room door, with all due credit given:

"Why can't these American women stay in their own country? They are always telling us that it is the paradise for women."

"It is. That is the reason why, like Eve, they are so excessively anxious to get out of it."

and

"Humanity takes itself too seriously. It is the world's original sin. If the caveman had known how to laugh, history would have been different."

I am a dork. But I just had to.

Hee hee, guess who has 'I can resist everything except temptation' (in both French and English), 'You either are a masterpiece or you wear one' and 'He who tells the truth will, one day or other, be found out' (in both French and English) on her chest-of-drawers?

DORX ROX. :D

When I was in HS, in art class, if we ever started a project, no matter how much we grew to hate it, the teacher would make us finish it. I eventually got so fed up, I wrote "All art is quite useless. -Oscar Wilde" on my project in black magic marker. The art teacher thought it was deliberate, and accepted the project for an A. From that day hence, every time I told Kristina that I was tired of one of my projects, she would say, "take the marker to it."

“If, with the literate, I am
Impelled to make an epigram,
I never seek to take the credit;
We all assume that Oscar said it.” -Dorothy Parker

Heee.
