On Sleeping Off Drunkenness...nessn...nesssessss...

Hola.

Well, last night didn't happen quite the way we were planning, since Marie got sick. Yes. Awww... She came down with a fever, and generally felt like absolute crap, the poor girl. So, Theresa and I cooked dinner in my kitchen (that I share with...ten...other people...) and brought her tea and rice. Theresa made me bring her tea, saying it was good for me to be the caring one. Funny, that. In any case, after I laughed at her, I did bring Marie her tea and she was touched, which really doesn't happen that often with that girl. After the rice - finally - cooked itself, we all sat in Marie's room eating and talking and then quickly left, since she was tired and there wasn't much to say at that point.

Today I went over to Theresa's (sans Marie who's still sick and has an essay due tomorrow), and - you guessed it! - got drunk. It was highly therapeutic. I was in a great mood. I didn't have much in way of dinner, so those two Smirnoff Ice bottles really hit me. I am a pathetic lightweight, but hey, at least it isn't expensive to get me drunk! And I am not a destructive drunk, nor am I a mean drunk. I'm a lot of fun when I'm drunk. So, we hung out, and talked with Theresa's flatmate Nick (the one we went to that Spanish movie with), and then watched "The Usual Suspects". Nick had never seen it, but I know it by heart. So, I fell asleep strategically so I would wake up in the end, when I would get to see Kevin Spacey at his absolute sexiest. Mmmmm... I think Theresa and I spoiled the ending by giggling at the end, saying "pay attention" and all that... Ah, well. I still enjoyed it. And now I am not drunk anymore.

GOOD NEWS!

Apparently, so Nick tells me, there's a short story contest going on - wheee! Yay! I am going to try and write something. Well, no, I am going to write something, and am going to try and maybe even win something. But the important part is writing. Yay! And there's some sort of workshop tomorrow night. I'm so glad Nick's there to tell me these things.

Had a really great conversation with Sam today (over the phone - that boy is crazy and calls me at least twice a week. O_o) - and remembered exactly why I spent the entire summer living with him. He's great and fun. And we have fun together (when we're not yelling at each other for no good reason other than trying desperately to help the other out and screaming out of frustration...) So, we'll have fun together when I get back for the break. I think I'll spend a few days with him, just doing fun stuff like drawing together (which we always planned but never did), cooking together (same thing, even if we did live together for two months...), watching movies and just being peaceful and (hopefully) happy. Now I'm excited. Because I'm not going through the same shit I was this summer and can actually be happy.

Overall, good things. Good things.

Ok, still a little woozy. Cool. I like being happily woozy. And I haven't been that in...a...couple?..of weeks? Yeah, sounds about right.

Random happy thought: Lisa Rourke reviewed my artwork on the Quill. Am very very honored. Wow.

So, I really have great friends in Marie and Theresa. I know that I say that a lot, but it always surprises me when I realize it all over again. They're wonderful. I think I'll keep them.

Sam told me today that I was sick and a pervert. Meant as a compliment, of course. He's one, too. I told him I'm going to prison (see below) and he laughed. He knows. Oh, but I'll be sharing a cell with such wonderful people! Telling you - more fun than hell.

Speaking of which, I have a really cool Satan-ish flyer (flier?) up on my wall now. It says "Dance Macabre" on the bottom, and is advertising some club on the back, but the picture on the front is awesome. I even scanned it, might put it up, or something. It's a hot guy with horns. You don't get much better than that.

And on that note...

MWAH.

(see? am a happy drunk...)
