On... THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS!
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, wow. Oh, WOW. Those of you who are seeing it this weekend for the first time, BOY, are you in for a treat. Like...seriously. WOW.
Ok, first of all, I am the biggest dork on the planet. When I saw the Whomping Willow (which looked nothing like I imagined it, and was quite odd, in fact), all I could think was: "Remus. Remus. REMUS. PUPPY LOVE!!" When Lockhart appeared at the top of the stairs in the DADA classroom, I thought: "In a few short months (HP time) Remus will walk in right there. Oh my God. Oh my GOD." Clearly, I need help. But I can wager all the gold in Gringotts that, like, 95% percent of you will think the exact same thing. C'mon, you know I'm right. It's Remus. (Yes, we have been on a first-name basis for a while now.)
Moving on... My silly off-the-wall R/H moment of the Ron/Harry kind - when the Anglia (!!!) shows up to save Harry, Harry's expression at seeing Ron. The shy, unsure, yet incredibly happy smile. "Ron!.." MWAHAHAHAHA... Ok, R/H moment over. It was just cute.
Oh, but the MOVIE!!! Oh, man, like a 100 times better than the first! I adored it! The sets were in-fucking-credible! We get to see so much more - more classrooms, more...more! The actors were all amazing. I mean, the kids have really matured. And Rupert Grint, though not my ideal Ron (too wimpy, dammit!) is a great comic actor. His little squeak in the Anglia, and the poking of Harry (minds out of gutter, people) during the Aragog scene was just fantastic. I also laughed in inappropriate places, and actually heard someone say "that's not funny..." a few rows behind me. Bwah. I laughed because I was SO INTO IT!! Because this was HOGWARTS, because this was THE WORLD. And I am such a fandom geek that I just...yeah. Well, you all know how I feel.
Lucius. Oh, Lucius. Let me tell you - his wand was AWESOME. His eyes were PERFECT. He WAS perfect. Oh, and those of who will see it, have already seen it - please tell me that I wasn't simply hearing things when he tried casting a curse on Harry in the end. PAY ATTENTION. In any case, he rocked.
Richard Harris was great. Much better than the first movie, and now I'm even more sad. Darnit.
Ok, Daniel Radcliffe. Oh, the baby. He is just...so soooooo adorable! You know, I don't care anymore that he's getting old. He is wonderful. I don't care that he has bluer eyes than Tom Felton. I don't care that he doesn't have jet-black hair. He is SUCH a sweetie! And, oh, how wrong it is to find him attractive... I'm giving it till he's legal, then I can do it in public. Ahem. (No, you didn't hear this from me. I swear you didn't.)
And you know what else? Reading about a twelve year old boy fighting a friggin' basilisk is bad enough, but actually seeing it... Man. It's just...really, it's heartbreaking. Harry will need some serious therapy - and soon. That boy has way too much on his shoulders. *sigh*
Ginny. Oh, but she was adorable, too. Her little retreat in the kitchen - LOL. She made the best face. And I like that she wasn't all needy and whatnot. She was just a cool little kid. I liked that a lot.
Emma Watson. She was better, too! Whoohooo! Her scene with Hagrid after the slug scene was kinda touching. Awww...
THE SLUG SCENE! Rupert Grint was just...gah. Awesome. He was awesome. Sitting with his bucket, hurling slugs, all pale, his eyes bugging out of his head. He was perfect.
ALAN RICKMAN, people. THE WALK. Holy shit, that man may be past his prime (don't shoot me!), but my God, can he walk. WHOA. He was so sexy in the dueling club scene. AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!.. And he just didn't take shit. I loved that. His voice was...strange, though. Roche, did you by any chance notice this? It was like...not his. I can't explain it, but it wasn't really The Voice. Hmmmm... Well, he was awesome, anyway.
And, oh, Kenneth Branagh. How perfect, yet again. He has done it. "I must ask you not to scream!" HA!! And the last line!! "This is just like magic!" aksjdklasjdlsakjd;laskjdawkljdalks!!!
I could go on and on and on...
The set was incredible. Have I mentioned that? Because it was.
Tom Felton is SUCH a punk, it's great. Oh! And the polyjuice potion! That was awesome. "I didn't know you could read..." Hehehe...
Hmmmm, what else, what else... Dobby. I really liked Dobby. I actually liked Dobby a lot - and I thought Daniel Radcliffe was very good at speaking to something non-existent. He's definitely not in the kids' actor level anymore - he's definitely getting up there in caliber.
And, of course, the real R/H moment. I can't believe we were worried. It's so explicit, they could have sworn their undying love to each other right there, and it would have been just as obvious. You know what? Allow me this moment of zen. We are right, you are wrong, so ha.
Ok, that's all I can think of right now. Honestly, it was fantastic. And now I can't wait for the next one. Two years, bah... Oh, but...but...Remus. And Sirius. My babies. They need to be every bit as beautiful as we know they are.
In other news, the Drama of the Ghosts continues, but is abating. Good. Because, really, it's ridiculous. As someone pointed out in the Erised forum, it's A&Z's board, and they can do with it as they please.
I'm so glad that most people are on our side with this. We really and truly appreciate you all.
And that's all the news that's fit to print. Love to all.
(Love, are you all right? Haven't heard from you in a while... Miss you. Hope you're all right.)

I plan on wolf-whistling when Lockhart gets on screen the first time, just to see how many dirty looks I garner. Hopefully quite a few.
Also, don't you think it's funny that Lockhart's BGM has Harpsichord in it?
I mean, it's a Harpsichord. It's so perfectly Lockhart!
