On Missing Summits and People.

Allow me this moment of wallowing in self-pity.

For the first time since I've been here, I want nothing more than to be back in NYC. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Ahem. Well, in any case: to the Summiters - and, oh, I know that you will not be able to stay offline - I wish you the merriest of times. Get drunk, get down, drool over various HP actors/characters/beings, eat more sweets than is healthy, and HOWL! Howl like you've never done before! I want to hear it all the way on this side of the Atlantic!

Siriusly, I miss you, I love you, and I cannot wait to see you all in December. Yay!

(CoKerry, if you're reading - 9:30, yes, no? I'll look for you guys, in any case.)

Well, since the previous dyeing job proved to last only about a week and a half before returning my hair to its natural brown (*siigh*), this time, I have gone permanent. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Morticia Adams. No, no, just kidding. I love my hair black, and I'm very excited about it staying that way. So, Marie helped me again this time (well, "help" is the wrong word, really. She did it for me, is more like.) It was fun - although Theresa missed out on that one, since she's gone on a retreat with her "Catholic kids" as we like to refer to them. She won't be back till Sunday. I'll really miss her, even if it is only a day and a half...

After that, Marie asked if I wanted to do yoga. She's been doing yoga for years, and I asked her if she could teach me. So, Monday the three of us did yoga together (and, let me tell you, I felt it for days afterwards. Wow.) - it was great. I'm planning on going it more from now on, every other day, then maybe every day. It's so soothing. So, today we did yoga. My legs were shaking like crazy, since for half an hour before that, I had to stand over the shower stall, and wash out all the dye from my hair. HALF AN HOUR. My legs were, in fact, shaking before yoga, and it just reinforced it. But it's all good. Exercise is definitely something that I need to do more often, and yoga is great.

So, I am very excited about this piercing thing. I've been thinking of ways to soften the blow for my mother, and came up with this: "It'll grow out in a few years anyway. It's not permanent." It's all about the facts. Hope she doesn't faint...

Should I tell her about the hair beforehand, or just show up like that? Hmmmm...

Why, why, WHY does it take so freaking long for a postcard to get from Brighton to Conn.? Both time that I've sent a card to David, he got it two weeks after he was supposed to. Grrrr... But at least he got them, I guess!

Wow, the Quill's been quiet. So weird. But I think this whole "let's rest up during the Summit weekend" thing is something we all needed. I just wish that I was, you know, at a SUMMIT.

And that's about it for tonight.

*mwah!*

*Sighs* Wish I was at a Summit, too. Mind you, I also wish I was in a country where the movie didn't take two FREAXing weeks to get here after it opens in the US. >:-|

:-)

Yours in fanfiction,

JK
