On Legs, Slashiness, And the Lack Thereof

You know what’s one of the worst things to feel? Paranoia. Paranoia over people. You know what I’m talking about. Thinking that someone you like or care for hates you, or just doesn’t care. It’s especially worse if you have thought otherwise for a while. Ya know?

Just thought I’d share.

In any case, here is a question to all those who have seen “Y Tu Mama Tambien”. For all that is good and slashy in life, what was the ending? Now, you may wonder why I am asking this – and I wish I didn’t have to. The thing is, I have heard from more than one source that in the end, the two main characters – or SOME characters – kiss and therefore, there’s hope from Cuaron about PoA (ha ha ha), but I saw it yesterday. No such thing happened. Which leads me to believe that stupid fucking assholish Hollywood Video edited it for content so much that, whoooops!, where did the homosexuality go?!

Anyone? Anyone?

And, now, on another movie that I saw yesterday…

Oh, but Orlando Bloom have them pretty legs. They are so lovely, I could stare at them for hours… *sigh* It’s a good thing the movie is three hours long!.. Still not enough, though. MAN, is he a pretty, pretty man.

Now that that’s over with…

The movie itself was spectacular. WOW. Now, I confess. I’m one of those stupid people that hasn’t read the books (the most embarrassing part? I never even got through “The Hobbit”… *sigh* I should try that one again…) but I ADORED the movie. I mean, WOW.

I won’t write spoilers, or anything like that, but, man, it was fantastic. Everyone was fantastic.

And Ian McKellen. OH, Ian McKellen!.. That man…that man is amazing and is my hero, and, and…*gulps* Yeah.

WOW.

And now for something completely different…

I know that I owe you an email, and you will get it, soon, I promise!

I hate not having real internet access here. But I’ll be at my sister’s later tonight, and there is – drumroll please – a cable modem. I love cable modems. They’re my friends… In any case, at SOME point during this break, I should be able to go online more or less regularly. One would hope, anyway.

Hope all is well with you and yours. You are lovely people. So, yes.

And here’s a piece of needless advice –

GO SEE “THE TWO TOWERS”.

Orlando Bloom’s legs are waiting.

*goes off humming*

No boy-boy kiss in "Y Tu Mama También"?!? It was in the edition I saw.

Well ... it's supposed to appear close to the end where Tenoch and Julio have a threesome with Luisa and kind of seem to end up more into each other than into Luisa. That's about it I think.

And I agree with you completely about Orlando ... mmm.

Oh, I do like your icon! *drools* That man... *sigh*

Yep. They cut it. The bastards. BASTARDS!

I've not seen Y Tu Mama, but WTF is with that?! *glares at stupid people*

Orlando... mmm....

And love you muchly. *mwah*

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2002-12-23 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
Damn, woman, your icon is hot, too! Maybe I should jump on the bandwagon...

WTF?! just about sums it up. Conservative Long Island assholes.

Love you muchly, too! *HUGS and MWAH*

They edited out the kiss? That's just criminal. The whole movie is leading up to it! Did you even get to see the scene earlier in the movie when they're at the pool jerking off next to one another?

Did they edit out Tenoch and Julio waking up naked next to each other after the threesome, realizing what happened, and freaking out?

You have to get the unrated version, obviously.

Oh, and I never could plow my way through the LoTR books either. "The Hobbit" was enough of a trial.

Oh man... I can't WAIT to see PoA now... this is GREAT!

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2002-12-23 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Ok, see, I *knew* there should have been something! When they showed them jerking off next to one another, it was SO OBVIOUS. Sheesh! You could tell that the movie was leading up to something, and it was so anti-climactic when nothing happened. They cut that scene - they showed it beginning, and then they showed the scene in the morning, the waking up. Which - quite obviously - made no sense. Fucking bastards. I am so mad now!

Yeah, I never even made it through "The Hobbit". Bad Dobby... But, eh. I am determined to make it through one book - James Joyce's "Ulysses". I'll be disappointed in myself if I don't. But I think I can live without LoTR...

Hope for PoA?

First, I will just say that I saw TTT this morning, and it ROXEd. Aragorn son of whoever ROX. I don't know about Orlando Bloom's legs - but did anyone see how he jumped on a horse? That was pretty nifty.

This whole discussion of "Y Tu Mama Tambien" made me go rent it just now. I rented it from the kewl, non-editing video store. When I'm done watching, I'll report back. I was going to rent it anyway, because my sister said to me last night, "Is it true that the director of "Y Tu Mama Tambien" is going to direct "Prisoner of Azkaban"?

"Yes," I said. "Have you seen it?"

"Yeah," she said, obviously shocked. "Theres... a lot of sex."

I've said many times before that I don't want to see Azkaban turned into a movie. But you know what, I'm starting to feel like maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing after all.

:)

Aragorn ROX to the 87th degree. He's so hot, too... Mmmmmmm... He and Orlando Bloom, man. I'm so glad they're both in it... Yes, his jumping on a horse WAS nifty - even Sam thought that, and he was determined to think badly of him since I find him so hot. (Typical...)

And about PoA - YES. YES! I am so excited. So, so excited. I hope he recognizes true love when it's staring him in the face. *sigh*

You clearly saw an edited version. That movie was fabulous, and I'm so pissed that they messed with it. The kiss wasn't, like, romantic or anything, but it was most definitely there. And it was so necessary. Grrr. Arrgh.

And TTT...oh, wasn't it good? Orlando Bloom is the prettiest person ever. I wonder if he's still pretty...wasn't that shot, like, two years ago? He better still be pretty. Precioussss, even. :-)

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2002-12-23 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
My preciousssssss... he IS so precious. You know what I find really amusing? He played a rentboy in "Wilde". Hehehe... Oh, what a pretty man... So glad you agree. :) And I'm sure he's still pretty. Very much so.

Shall I describe it to you, or do you want me to get a box?

Hehehheehehe...

*mwah*

Edits

Yeah, there was definitely a kiss. And I can't believe they edited it, because the whole movie DOES lead up to it.

I'm more comfortable now about Azkaban. Slashiness aside, that was a great movie... he obviously has an eye for life and the human experience, at least, it's evident in Y tu mama...

See, that's what I thought, too. My sister thought it was vulgar and tasteless and made by a hack. I totally disagree. I think he knows people. And that is so important! And yes, siriusly, the movie really did lead up to it. I want to see it now! Waaah!

Oh yeah, that's my other thought here-- I have hopes for PoA. Not necessarily for slashy (sub)text, but just that it's GOT to be a better movie than what Columbus is churning out. I really like Cuaron's work, including "A Little Princess", which showed that he knows how to direct children (imagine! children who can actually act! now there's a concept).
