On quick updates...

I am at my sister's, then going to Long Island later on in the afternoon, to celebrate Sam's birthday with him a day late, and then I fly away tomorrow (hopefully, weather permitting.) He's turning completely legal. Or, has turned, rather. Heh. Happy Birthday, love, even if you never see this (HOPEFULLY.)

The ONE movie (of three) was seen yesterday, by me - saw TTT again, and enjoyed it STILL, third time around. Legolas is still absolutely fucking GORGEOUS, and Ian McKellen still rocks my world, and everything else is just spectacular. Though, it's funny - from everything that I have heard from those who have read the books, I am now greatly annoyed at the changing of Faramir - especially since Houie called him "The Remus Lupin of LoTR". Hmph. From there, my thoughts strayed dangerously to Steve Kloves, tight rope, paper cuts and lemon juice.

Ahem.

In any case, YOU will be proud of me, as I have started reading "The Lord of the Rings", and actually like it a lot so far. Even if Frodo is older than I thought he was. Heh. Jailbait!Frodo, indeed. ;) In any case, I wish I could take the book with me on the plane, but I can't, since A) it isn't mine, and B) it's way too fucking big. Wish I had them all separate. Ah, well.

My sister's annoyed with me for getting so obsessed with everything - that I don't get interested half-way, but find out everything that I can about things, every single detail. Actually, what annoys her is that I talk about it a lot. Well, I can't quite help it - that's how I DO things. What I CAN do, is not talk to her about it and just shut up. But it was hard to do last night, since we watched the movie TOGETHER. Oh, well. I understand her frustration, but what I get upset at is the fact that she can't be understanding - because I try not to annoy her. Ah well.

Also, I did not appreciate my brother in law's comment about how if there had been a movie about the Seven Wonders of the World, I would have known them, but since there is no movie like that, I don't. It was supposed to have been a joke, but my over-sensitive self thought it was uncalled for. Because it isn't true, and, quite frankly, insulting.

The fact is, I haven't really been that obsessed with movies for quite a few years, I mostly read now. It's just that LoTR did something to me. Can you fucking BLAME me?!

In any case. I know I'm too sensitive. I try not to be, but it doesn't work sometimes.

Oh, I had something else to say...

Very much looking forward to tomorrow morning. Heh. Yeah, no, not just the plane (that I'm actually NOT looking forward to, just as I am NOT looking forward to saying goodbye to Sam. Again.) - but I bet some of you know what I'm talking about...

Final thought -

Did anybody else realize that Gollum was a Quiller? No? Well, he was. After all, he called Frodo and Sam "triXy", didn't he?

Ok, I'm sorry, I'll shut up now. But I thought it was amusing.

Final FINAL thought -

I. FEAR. THE. CASTING.

Thank you.
