On Bitching and Whining. You have been warned.
So, yesterday was a Really Bad Day, for the most part, and I would have whined and bitched last night, except I was roped into (oh, yes, twist my arm...) watching FoTR. Oh, the pain of it all! That's one of the reasons why it was bad for the most part.

I really dislike professors who claim that they want to hear what you have to say, and that you have to be involved in a discussion and DAMN IT, why aren't you speaking?!, and then take over your discussion mid-sentence and never allow you to explain yourself fully. I really really dislike that. And I also strongly dislike it when people who know you very well misinterpret what you say for absolutely no fucking reason in that very discussion and lead the whole class astray and you come off stounding like a Bag Fat Asshole, and are never allowed to explain yourself. EVER.
I also strongly dislike it when you cannot find your reading materials in the library, even though the catalogue CLEARLY states that the book that you are looking for is NOT on loan.
And it also gets under my skin when you know what your budget is, and know that if you don't find a job soon, you will be out on your ass or back home before you can say "fucked". And when people that applied at the same time as you got a job that requires no qualifications and you didn't.

By the time I got home yesterday, I wanted nothing better then to sleep and never wake up. Or curl up on my bed reading and pretend that that's OK, when I had 70 pages of philosophy reading to do. Thank God Sam called, otherwise, I might have killed something. Or someone. And then I got a big full eye-full of Orlando Bloom (with a mohawk?!), so that made it better.
Not doing anything academic tonight. At all. Since I'm not going to my only class tomorrow, since I have an, um, important appointment to attend in London, I will fucking sit on my bed and just read FoTR, pretending that the rest of the world doesn't exist. At all. And that perhaps I'm living in Middle-Earth, instead.
Argh.
I want my bow back.
P.S. Thank you all for yesterday. I feel better now. It'll be ok.
