It's November 29th, and I lose at knowing dates.
GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS! It's the day I totally know for the entire MONTH of November, and then come the day, I lose bigtime.
It's my WIFEY'S BIRTHDAY!
See, I have a Wifey. Her name is Katie. She has been my Wifey for *counts* going on three years now. She is one of the people that make the world worth living in. No, really. Not just for me - for many, many, many more people. I think the world at large is better just because she's in it.
I'm not even kidding. Katie. Katie is amazing. She just is. She is amazing, incredible, brilliant, courageous, hilarious, compassionate, kind, patient, talented: she is all the things that make up the best people. The entire time I've known her, I've felt nothing but awe when it came to her. The awe extended when she became my friend, and it continued as I realized that, for one reason or another, she loved me as much as I loved her. Apparently, she still does, which works out well for me, because I'm CRAZY about her.
Katie. I love you. No words can ever express just how much, but I can tell you for how long: pertty much forever, both ways. What did I do without you? I have no idea. What would I do without you? I don't even want to know. I cherish you, and your friendship, and if we go days without talking, something doesn't feel right, and I may not always be able to put a finger on WHY, but then it comes back to me, and I realize: oh! NO KATIE. No Katie is a very bad thing. We should always have a Katie.
A Katie who listens to me rant without blinking, a Katie who stays up half the night holding my hand over Y!M because I'm freaking out about something or other, a Katie who spends an entire day with me online going through drafts of a Big Important Essay On A Topic I Know Nothing About (in case anybody's wondering, she really did stay with me on AIM for an entire day, and yes - I proposed directly afterwards), a Katie that will be honest and helpful and loving all the way, a Katie whose patience knows no bounds.
A Katie who is hilarious, did I mention that? And brilliant. She is so fucking SMART, and it shines through in everything she ever writes/posts/says. She is ADORABLE (you have not seen CUTE until you've seen her FLAIL), she is BEAUTIFUL, she is one of the loveliest people in existence.
And today is her birthday.
