That's so interesting to me, because I didn't come into fandom for the shipping, but that's why I stayed. Because, ultimately, what interests me about the fandoms I'm in are the relationships, so any chance I get to explore those, and delve into the possibilities, I take. Which is why I don't really read gen for gen's sake, if that makes sense.

But I love that people come into fandom for all sorts of reasons, and with all sorts of expectations. Such a diverse and cool environment! Ah, fandom. ♥
