In vain I have struggled, it will not do.
I have tried to be open-minded, and tolerant, and listen to others' opinions, and while I will continue to be such on the surface, I shall, here and now, announce that the thought of either Remus or Sirius being straight makes my skin crawl.
That is it. They're gay, they're in love, and that is what I believe.
Thank you.

I join you: "They're gay, they're in love, and that is what I believe." And let me add that they are shagging like rabid bunnies.

Heh. We're incurable. ;)

Mind this is ptobably the one thing we disagree on.

I know that there isn't enough evidence to say that they're definitely gay, but there's not enough evidence to dispute it, and at this point I'm just going with what I like and what feels right. *shrug*
And boy, does it ever feel right...

(Anonymous) 2003-02-19 09:03 am (UTC)(link)Recently I was reading a really well-written story about Remus, found it very engaging -- that is, until it became apparent the author saw R/S as just friends. It totally broke the feel of authenticity for me. It was well-written, for sure, but after that point it became a struggle to continue reading it because I kept thinking, "This isn't right. Why is Remus talking about some girl? He loves Sirius!" LOL.
Those two belong together and, although intellectually I can accept a different interpretation of their relationship, emotionally it becomes so hard to invest yourself in the story, because on some level it always rings false if they're not together.

PS -- I still haven't been able to finish that story, unfortunately.

YES! Exactly! EXACTLY! It just...ruins everything for me! I don't know, it makes it all...sad. Because they just...belong together in my mind, and they're just...so, so gay in my head, it's not even funny. I mean, they could have been with girls, but they just...like cock more. Sorry. But that's how it is in my head. Heh.
So, yes, emotionally I just can't take them being straight and not together. Straight even more so than not being togehter, for some odd reason...hmmmmm....

-The only one OFC I don't hate, Thing1's Katie Davis. I love the character, I love the stories. Maybe because I found "This Was Falling" at the same time I found BOCA. Other than that, I *hate* OFC. All of them.
-I love Remus with James, I know is against canon, but I love them together, I have them on my mind a lot of time. I also love the idea of Remus/Lily, don't know why.
-Under certain circumstances, Remus/Severus.
and last but not least, my absolutely favorite second pairing:
Remus/Bill Weasley -too bad nobody else seems to like them :( But they have a long -always growing- story going on in my mind *g* [darling Linda, had a go at them, but you know how that story ends]
My real problem is Sirius, I think I've read Remus with almost anyone (Lucius, Harry, Charlie Weasley)but I can't stand Sirius with anyone other than Remus. I don't even like Sirius when he's not with Remus.
The one thing that leaves no room to discussion is: REMUS on top *grins*
