In vain I have struggled, it will not do.

I have tried to be open-minded, and tolerant, and listen to others' opinions, and while I will continue to be such on the surface, I shall, here and now, announce that the thought of either Remus or Sirius being straight makes my skin crawl.

That is it. They're gay, they're in love, and that is what I believe.

Thank you.

Shall I cease and desist with the Sirius/Moa saga then? :P

LOL, in the interests of self-preservation, I'd say leave it. He can always change his mind later. ;)

Mwahahahaha... *ducks Moa's wrath*

Thank You!! I will *never* be able to see either of them as being straight. I have tried to read fics that I *know* are superbly written in which they are straight, but it just doesn't ring true to me. I find myself distracted by thinking that they should be together and by plotting the hideous and extremely painful deaths of the women involved with them.

I join you: "They're gay, they're in love, and that is what I believe." And let me add that they are shagging like rabid bunnies.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes, they are. And yeah, it just FEELS so...so wrong. I can't even explain, but you know. And I find myself thinking the same thing - but what about Remus? Or, what about Sirius?

Heh. We're incurable. ;)

Re:

[identity profile] sekhmet2.livejournal.com 2003-02-24 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Incurable or incorrigible? ;-)

[identity profile] cabari.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not going to join in the chorus of people telling you, yay, you're so cool! Because while you are cool, you're also very... eh. I think you're wrong. There's not really enough evidence one way or another (and by ecvidence, I mean... "'Oh, by the way, Remus,' said Sirius, 'I'm rather gay.' 'You don't say, Sirius! Why, me too!'") to be so dead set one way or another. I can see them either way. And probably that's a good thing.

Mind this is ptobably the one thing we disagree on.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. I do know your view on this. And I love you anyway. :) (You're right, it probably IS the only thing we disagree on!)

I know that there isn't enough evidence to say that they're definitely gay, but there's not enough evidence to dispute it, and at this point I'm just going with what I like and what feels right. *shrug*

And boy, does it ever feel right...

[identity profile] arborealis.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
No. Thank YOU.

:-D

Welcome. ;)

[identity profile] cybele-san.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
why, of course they are. why are you spamming my friends page stating the obvious? sheesh.

*giggles*

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
*sticks out her tongue*

Because I like stating the obvious when it is right! Ha.

*giggles too*

[identity profile] blacknarcissus2.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
Of course they are! But not the icky WB versions (although there's something about Oldman). Ooh, can I add you to my friends list honey?

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Umm, sure! :) Yeah, well, we won't discuss the casting. Argh. ARGH, says I!

[identity profile] lea-ndra.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 09:02 am (UTC)(link)

I know what you mean, Liz.

Recently I was reading a really well-written story about Remus, found it very engaging -- that is, until it became apparent the author saw R/S as just friends. It totally broke the feel of authenticity for me. It was well-written, for sure, but after that point it became a struggle to continue reading it because I kept thinking, "This isn't right. Why is Remus talking about some girl? He loves Sirius!" LOL.

Those two belong together and, although intellectually I can accept a different interpretation of their relationship, emotionally it becomes so hard to invest yourself in the story, because on some level it always rings false if they're not together.

Sim

PS -- I still haven't been able to finish that story, unfortunately.

YES! Exactly! EXACTLY! It just...ruins everything for me! I don't know, it makes it all...sad. Because they just...belong together in my mind, and they're just...so, so gay in my head, it's not even funny. I mean, they could have been with girls, but they just...like cock more. Sorry. But that's how it is in my head. Heh.

So, yes, emotionally I just can't take them being straight and not together. Straight even more so than not being togehter, for some odd reason...hmmmmm....

But wait! What's that heading for the horizon with its arse on fire??

Ok, you have killed me. This was the funniest thing I'd (heard/read) all day and I'm still laughing. Yes, there it goes, and good riddance. Ha!

Ow, by the way. The arse hurts.

[identity profile] mapletide.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 12:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. I have tried in vain for as long as I've known about the characters to see them as straight, but it just won't work, it just isn't happening. No way, no how. It just doesn't work for me. It probably never will.

*wry grin*

And they are together. So there :p

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-02-19 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep. Exactly. :)

Ah, R/S...how I love thee...

Heh. It's amazing how attached we can get to them, isn't it?

*pets her gay boys*

R/S! cha cha cha! R/S! cha cha cha!

One word: HELL YEAH. (Though that's technically two words, but who car5es cause you rock and Geekmoot will RULE and I think we need to howl and stuff too. :D)

[identity profile] remuslover.livejournal.com 2003-02-20 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahaha. I agree with you 98% of the time. The remaining 2% goes to:

-The only one OFC I don't hate, Thing1's Katie Davis. I love the character, I love the stories. Maybe because I found "This Was Falling" at the same time I found BOCA. Other than that, I *hate* OFC. All of them.
-I love Remus with James, I know is against canon, but I love them together, I have them on my mind a lot of time. I also love the idea of Remus/Lily, don't know why.
-Under certain circumstances, Remus/Severus.
and last but not least, my absolutely favorite second pairing:
Remus/Bill Weasley -too bad nobody else seems to like them :( But they have a long -always growing- story going on in my mind *g* [darling Linda, had a go at them, but you know how that story ends]

My real problem is Sirius, I think I've read Remus with almost anyone (Lucius, Harry, Charlie Weasley)but I can't stand Sirius with anyone other than Remus. I don't even like Sirius when he's not with Remus.

The one thing that leaves no room to discussion is: REMUS on top *grins*
