On Word Associations.
Bum, just so you know, I WILL kill your internet connection one of these days. So, tell it to watch its back.
You know, writer's block really sucks. I have about three or four in progress stories going, and they're all very...not in any actual progress. I get stuck, and then I sit here, and just can't get inspired. I think some of it has to do with the lack of any sort of privacy - I like to be alone when I write, and sitting among forty and thirty people at a time just isn't conducive to writing, especially when it comes to smut. I mean, sure, it would be amusing if someone with too much time on their hands decided to look over at my screen and see a line like "Remus sucked on his balls for a few moments longer, then licked his way forward until his mouth was pressed against Sirius' opening", (it was the first line I found from one of my last smutty stories, sorry it wasn't a more, um, interesting one), but it really does kill the mood for me.
People say to write even if it's writing about how shitty your writing is. Ok, that's fine, except there's no real goal. For some reason, I need to know where the story is going, what the goal is, before I start writing. And the worst is when I see that goal and can't reach, like with the next chapter of "Truth". (
miraminx, remember how you said you'll be awaiting the next chapter in March? Well, guess what? It just might be April!)
But I'm going to continue trying, dammit. So, this was a rather pointless post. Sorry for the spam.
To make it all better, let's play a little word association, like
stereo_m did last night, before getting kicked off AIM.
stereo_m: think hard
(pause)
stereo_m: cocks!
Good morning to you all.

The best thing is that she just came out with it, out of nowhere. I asked her a question, she began thinking hard, and then wrote 'cocks'. Made my night.
