I hate stupid people. That does include me sometimes.

Ever have one of those days where you say something and then regret it, and that something continues to plague you for the rest of the day, and then well into morning, and still plagues you and you feel like shit and wish that you could take it back, except you can't, because it's too late and would make you look like more of an idiot, anyway? Yeah. Those days suck.

Last night I was woken up at 3:00am by a group of the most obnoxious girls ever, sitting in a neighboring kitchen, singing... "shake banana, shake, shake banana" over. And over. And over. Again. Now, this continued for a good long while, about half an hour, at first. I was livid, understandably you see, because I was, you know, SICK AND TIRED AND THEY WERE SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF THEIR FUCKED-UP LUNGS, AND IT WAS THREE FUCKING THIRTY IN THE MORNING!!! Finally, I got up, opened my door (they were around the corner) and yelled at them to shut up. One girl said something, not addressing me, but her friends: "They love it!" And on it went. I swear to God, if I had had a grenade at that moment in my hands, it would have gone flying straight into that kitchen. And I wouldn't have regretted it one bit, because the world - not to mention the entire corridor - would have thanked me for getting rid of three pointless and brainless lives. Jesus Christ, but I wanted to scream. I don't think they had a single brain between them, and what's worse, is that they were doing it on purpose. There's nothing worse than a mean idiot. Those wreak the most havoc.

And speaking of which, "FREEDOM FRIES"?!? HELLO!?! HOW OLD ARE THESE PEOPLE?! When the country's at war, and all this fucked-up shit is happening, and lives are being ruined, they find the time to change a FOOD NAME?! Because they don't like FRANCE?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Words simply cannot express the stupidity of it all. The absolute nonsense that these people...just...just...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!

Get me away!!!!! Make it go awaaaaaaaay! WHY is this happening, WHY?! Why is the country being run by brainless twits who can't tell which way is up because their heads are so far up their own asses that they're suffering from air deprivation? I can't. I just can't. I think I'm going to move me to, umm, the Bahamas, or something, and set up camp. And never leave, ever, and never look at the news, EVER. Because it's just too depressing. Way too fucking depressing.

Anyway. And on that note...must do laundry. Canis isn't the only one with the no-clean-underwear syndrome. Add no clean socks to that, and you've got a bad case of laundrynitis. Can't stand doing laundry in this place, but alas. It must be done.

And, oh yeah, I still feel like crap. Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions - would love to try, if I had time. Maybe tonight. The unfortunate thing is, sitting in the computer room while sick is not the most fun one can have. I tried yesterday. Didn't work very well.

Oh, and here be

[livejournal.com profile] cybele_san - umm, I'm awful at things like that, but the closest I could come up with was "On The Road Again". Heh. (BTW, just caught up on all your chapters yesterday, shall review soon.)

[livejournal.com profile] halegirl - Nope. Tried, got pissed off. Hate it. Ugh.

[livejournal.com profile] soupytwist - YES! YESYESYES!! Start with "Rain Dogs" (the album). You'll love it. I promise.

[livejournal.com profile] cabari - You know, it would be much nicer if we fell in love, but I have a feeling that with US, we'd have to kill each other first, because we're so damn similar, and we'd both be pretty damn irritable if we were the only two people left alive. But you never know. Hehe... *mwah*

[livejournal.com profile] remuslover - Yes.

My head needs to clear up. Now. And I should really start doing stuff already. Am off to get change for laundry...waaaahhh...

There are ways of curbing this sort of anti-social behaviour. You can play by the rules, play dirty, or both.

Playing by the rules involves reporting them to the college authorities and / or whoever runs the building. You are also within your rights to call the cops in that situation. Usually a warning of something like that is enough to make the densest idiot shut up.

You can also get personal. If you know who they are and, more importantly, where they live, the only restraints are those imposed by your imagination. I know you're moving out soon, but they'll still be there when you get back, if you're so inclined. Besides, you know what they say about revenge...

And yes, Freedom Fries... that'll be a side-order to go with the Fatherland Frankfurters, presumably.

Oh, if I had time!.. I wanted to report them, I so did, but in my delirious state last night, I didn't think to go down to the night porter's. It's too late now - at least one third of them has already moved out. But if it happens again next term - and this wasn't the first time, mind you - their asses are getting kicked. Big time. Thank you for the advice - as always, I can count on you! :)

And yes, Freedom Fries... that'll be a side-order to go with the Fatherland Frankfurters, presumably.

Ahahhahahaaa... Indeed. What a hearty meal that would be... I want to have been there to see the reactions of all those own fast-food chains as well as diners.

"We have to change the menus? French Fries? To...what?"

So don't envy them.

Why is the country being run by brainless twits who can't tell which way is up because their heads are so far up their own asses that they're suffering from air deprivation?

You know, the country is run by brainless twit because his father's supreme court gave him the job. Most of the country had the common sense not to vote for him.

Because they don't like FRANCE?!

It actually gets worse because their are spineless twits that want to take economic sanctions against France as a result of their stand. *shrugs* I really loathe idiots like that. There are more important things than the stupid war with Iraq and I would hope at least that Democrats could get their heads out of the sand and take a stand. Times like this, I really miss Bill Clinton. Sex scandals are nothing compared to the utter horror Bush has the capability of unleashing upon the world. I wish that the world would remind him he is no more called by God (which he believes that he is called by God to do what he is doing) than they are, and that he is not the rightfully elected President of the USA.

Oh, and don't we all remember wanting to put a friggin' noose arund our necks when they took away Florida. *sigh*

Times like this, I really miss Bill Clinton.

Oh, God, I know! Sex scandals were funny - I mean, come on, I laughed and laughed and laughed - but this - this is just...beyond anything. I haven't laughed about politics in about two years. That's a record. And it just shouldn't happen. I believe the last time I laughed about politics was when the day after the elections everyone had a big fat mess on their hands, and that was only because there was nothing left to do.

[identity profile] lizzieluthor.livejournal.com 2003-03-13 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
I don't particularly see how calling French Fries something else helps anything, but hey, it's expressing their opinion and they do still have the right to do that. You can't approve of freedom of speech only when you like what's being said.

Sorry. That's something that irks me.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-03-13 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
But, see, what they've done goes beyond the freedom of speech - they're IMPOSING their opinion, or whatever the hell you want to call it, on the rest of the country, making it a LAW, a law that has no purpose whatsoever except for to show the complete control that they have over the rest of the people. That's not freedom of speech anymore, it's much much more sordid. At least that's the way I see it, and I can say this, too, because it's in my freedom of speech clause. Just like you can say what you believe. That's how it normally works - but you don't see either me or you forcing anyone to change their menus and idioms. You know?

(Anonymous) 2003-03-13 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
OK...you need to reread the articles. It is not a law. The whole country is not going to order freedom fries at McDonald's. The only place this change will have any effect is in the House of Representative's dining halls/cafeterias. It was an internal thing. I agree it's silly, but let's not make it more than it is.

Everyone can disagree, but please, if you're going to do it, list facts. Just name-calling and such only fuels fires.

What sort of impression does it give the rest of the world when the elected representatives of your country do this? If you look at it only on the surface, I agree that it can be described as 'silly'; as proof of that, it has resulted in many jokes at America's expense in Britain and, I'm sure, beyond (that is, America's expense; not just the House of Representatives' canteen's). However, the mindset this represents can be called a few things more than 'silly', especially when it's being done by people who have a say in your country's policy and laws.

Besides, what's wrong with calling politicans 'brainless twits'? People are completely entitled to call it as they see it.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-03-13 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
OK...you need to reread the articles. It is not a law.

Then I do apologise for not knowing all the facts. I should have found out more before saying that, I agree.

I do, however, stand by the name-calling, because, Freedom Fries notwithstanding, I still consider a good number of the politicians in the U.S. office to be much less than they think themselves to be.

hey, psst.

one week.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2003-03-13 09:47 am (UTC)(link)
You know, with the whole war thing, I'm starting to get worried, but it's things like this that make me hopeful.

One week! Eeeee!

:D

Er I can't think of any advice about the evilness that you haven't already been given, but will send sympathy, because that sucks.

And we so need to plan! I can't wait! DUDE! I'm making up lists of what I want to show you already. Heheh.

And have taken your advice, though the only album of his I found in Vinyl Exchange was Heart Attack and Vine, so I got that instead. :) Hope that meets with your approval!

*LOVE and HUGS and as much joy as you can fit in three fridges :)*

Whoohoo! I am terribly, TERRIBLY excited to see you, and in your natural habitat, no less! ;) Katiekus Genus, hehe. I'm waiting for the money to get here, just in case, and then we can start planning more solidly. Dude. I can't wait.

You know, I don't believe I own that one. Odd, that. Or I might and might have just missed something. In any case, I'm sure it's very cool, too, and when I see you, I'll bring my CD's with me, so you can hear my favorite stuff. :)

*just as much love if not more*

Just because of the Resident, every time I enter a restaurant, I will relive that scene in Better off Dead where they eat "Fraunch fries with Fraunch dressing and Fraunch bread." Just because. Anyway, I again hope you feel better soon, if you aren't feeling better already. And I can't imagine what would be more fun than sitting in a common computer room snotting all over everything in existence while wrapped in layers of sickwear, which is usually really unflattering pj's. Dude, why are you still reading this? Get your ass to bed and go make someone pack up yr room for you!

I don't actually remember that part. What is WRONG with me?! Hehe. But you're funny. Of course.

Dude, why are you still reading this? Get your ass to bed and go make someone pack up yr room for you!

Oh, I wish! But I am feeling better. Actually, what I'm doing is staving off the sickness until this whole moving business is over with, and I am all well and settled into another single room while my friend is away, in a flat, with a kitchen that isn't a hundred thousand feet away from my room and with a bathtub that I wouldn't hesitate to take a bath in. That's when I'll allow myself to be properly sick and pamper myself back to health. It's a good plan, isn't it? :)
