mrsronweasley: (Doyler's thoughts)
mrsronweasley ([personal profile] mrsronweasley) wrote2007-08-01 10:00 pm

O.o

So, I went to see OotP again today, this time with [livejournal.com profile] mayatawi.

And this is the most profound thought I came away with:

Holy shit, I found Doyler.

THINK ABOUT IT. He's Irish! He's young! He's got a slightly weird-ass slap-dash face! He can do "untucked and annoyed"! Find me a Jim RIGHT NOW, PEOPLE. (And if you find MacEmm while you're at it...send him my way first.)

Seriously. Think about it.

Oh, and also:

Harry, being inspirational in the end: "We have something that Voldemort doesn't."
Maya, leaning over: "NOSES."

PWN3D.

Heee! Was that a good flap or a bad flap? Hi, honey!

Aawww, I never thought about Seamus being Doyler. :D ::flails::

HAHAHA NOSES.

(randomly cause I just remembered - Moa and I took a picture for you! ;P)

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2007-08-02 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Me neither! It was the part in the Common Room that suddenly made me go all "O.O" He was all untucked and ready for a fight and suddenly, he WAS Doyler.

NOSES I KNOW.

I sawwwwwwwww! *beams*

Why isn't it the 23 allready?! I must be the only one who hasn't watched OotP yet!

Lol!! The power of Noses!!

*hugs*

Aww, honey! But, at least, you have something to look forward to? You have to tell me what you thought of it, all right?

*hugs back*

Yeah, I guess my Harry Potter summer isn't over yet. But I don't know if you noticed... I'm not very patient! ;-)

You have to tell me what you thought of it
Of course :-)

YAY! You saw it again! Was it as good as the first time?? Did anything stand out this time?

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2007-08-02 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I did! And it WAS! The only thing that stood out more than last time was the fact that I found Doyler (from "At Swim, Two Boys") in Seamus, but - I mean, it was still FANTASTIC and I'm still totally in love with Luna. Oh, how PERFECT is that little girl? *happy sigh*

[identity profile] rochefort.livejournal.com 2007-08-02 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I saw my Doyler, too -- last year, in a film with Aidan Quinn (why I was watching, of course) called 'Song for a Raggy Boy'. About a boys' institution in Ireland. One of the kids in that, who was a real cheeky bugger, was Doyler in personality and in my head. You must see at least a bit of it if you can.

But now my personal MacEmm (Rupert Everett) is too old and tightened by cosmetic surgery, alas... Not to mention off-puttingly self-important in RL. Hmm.

So OotP was good? I'm wondering whether to go.

Boy Butter, HAHA.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2007-08-02 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! I should definitely see that! A cheeky bugger - that is Doyler, indeed! If you do see OotP, look for Seamus in the Common Room, springing for a fight with Harry. It just HIT me, he was so very much - Doyler. Maybe only in my head. *g*

I definitely think it's a MUCH better movie than the last, and the distance between the book and it helped with my enjoyment. There are some absolutely stand-out things about - like Luna, and YES, Gary Oldman. Something about him reconciled him as Sirius in my head. I just adored him. I'm as shocked as the next person who knew me when PoA came out. *g*

(Rupert Everett is sadly too old and off-putting now. Which is such a shame, because just look at my icon. How perfect would that have been?)

I love that big macho Boy Butter arm.

[identity profile] rochefort.livejournal.com 2007-08-02 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
And I really love your Jim/MacEmm icon. Tis a pity he's a prat.

I just hated OotP (the book) so much, but if you liked it... I can always blame you if it's crap. :)

Isn't it wonderful? I keep forgetting about it, but I really should use it more often. (It's a pity JRM is too old now, too! Ten years ago? He'd have been PERFECT.)

Same here! I didn't want to see it, but then was persuaded to - and it was really, really worth it. They cut it down a lot, and changed a few things around, but - for the most part - all for the best. A lot less emo!Harry, a lot less crazy!Sirius, and just the barest hint of all. And you can definitely blame it on me if you hate it. :D (I think the key to this movie was getting rid of Steve Kloves.)

I have never thought about whatshisname being Doyler, but yes! OMG yes! I like him, I think he's cute. The Seamus-guy, I mean. Even though I am totally in love with Doyler, too.

And... NOSES. AHAHAHAHA.

[identity profile] mrsronweasley.livejournal.com 2007-08-02 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Doesn't it work? It's so WEIRD, but it just HIT ME. Doyler! On the screen! Eeee! (And who isn't? *pets her boy*)

I KNOW. *dies*
