Okay. This has been bothering me for a while now, so I decided to share.

This is a promo picture for "In Plain Sight", and please, somebody tell me:

What is wrong with this picture?



OH HAI. Mary's missing a LEG.

That is one bad Photoshop job. Seriously, they took out her leg so she'd look THINNER? She looks WEIRD. Instead of the normal hot-ass Mary, we get a one-legged teetering person. Surrounded by grass that's shaped like a woman's leg. (And Marshal Marshall Mann.)

*facepalm*

Seriously, I hate that it's been standard practice to Photoshop the reality out of women for years now, but it's getting ridiculous. No wonder so many women think they'll never look good - they have this to compete with.

I mean, seriously. Check this out. It is creeping me right the fuck out.

None of this, of course, is new or ground-breaking territory in terms of, you know, ranting, but it gets me seriously pissed off, and so I had to share.

In conclusion: I would like my women to be recognizable as women, regular arms and all. And, you know, possessing both their legs. If at all possible, of course.

Sigh. Me and my stupid two-leggedness. I'll never be hot enough to be on TV. I guess the only solution is to bust out the chainsaw and start practicing my hopping.

By which I mean WHAT? And BOO! This is right up there with the recent Beyoncé skin lightening thing in that L'Oréal ad in terms of total mind boggling. Dear people who do this: We can tell when things are photoshopped. Really we can.

My fantasies always involved Inspector Shannon with BOTH legs, I should note. I don't even understand why they would even need to Photoshop an entire leg out of the shot, when these (I'm sure) retouched promo pictures make MM look damn hot with both legs intact (insofar as we can tell):









So yes, 1.) I agree with you and 2.) I used this as an excuse to find more hot IPS pictures.

P.S. - I think it's supposed to be Marshal Marshall Mann, as it's the U.S. Marshals Service (one l) as memory serves. :)
