SPN. SIGH. (I need an icon.)
Okay. So, I haven't answered all my comments (only in my head) and I haven't talked about Life in a while. But I just wanted to say: I just finished watching SPN's "Fresh Blood" (I'm still not entirely caught up on Season 3 - I'm lacking knowledge of the middle. (That's what she said.)) and this is what I have to say about it.
SHOW. JESUS.
One minute, there's the GROSS THANKS FOR THE WARNING women with RIPPED OFF HEADS, then there's SAM, KILLING GORDON WITH A CHAIN AND JUST HIS HANDS. (UHM! *scared*)
And then! Then, they just - MAKE YOU CRY! Like it's normal! Because, oh, BOYS! Dean, teaching Sam how to fix his car, because he's his big brother, and he's not going to be around for much longer! And Sam needs to KNOW THESE THINGS, and, like, seriously, from gore to "awwww!" in 10 seconds.
WOE.
(Also, hello, Harmony? Ha.)
*WAILS*
Is it premiere time yet?

I love the car-fixing moment. A LOT. Not only is it Dean teaching Sam the things he thinks his little brother needs to know, but it's also Dean LETTING GO a bit, and letting Sam be his EQUAL and even take the lead sometimes, which is REALLY IMPORTANT for both of them. It's another step along the road that started with him tossing Sam the keys way back in "Wendigo." It's no wonder we all love the damn car so much--it's been part of all these crucial moments. :)
