LET'S DISCUSS SOMETHING
And I don't mean Gerard Way hitting the gym at 5:30am, although that, too. (CANON. CANON.) (GERARD WAY. ON A TREADMILL. WITH HIS BRIGHT RED HAIR. Picture THAT if you will. ♥)
I have many feelings about something else, too, which is last night's Project Runway.
OH MY GOD, YOU GUYS, MICHAEL C. DDDDDD: HIS REACTION WAS SO RAW, AND SO HUMAN AND I WAS JUST NEARLY BAWLING FOR HIM, EVEN THOUGH I KNEW HE DIDN'T REALLY DESERVE TO BE THERE. BUT I WANTED THEM ALL TO COMPETE. ;_________♥
God, it was so sad that his family are just NOT SUPPORTIVE. I just found out yesterday he was basically forced into marrying his ex-wife, have two kids, and now his son lives with him and his partner, and you can tell it is a sore and touchy subject for his parents. And his partner was SO DEFENSIVE of him, it was adorable. NOBODY FUCKS WITH HIS HUSBAND, OKAY. NOT EVEN HIS HUSBAND'S RELIGIOUS PARENTS. HI WILL CUT THEM. >:(
Adorable. And sad.
EDITED TO ADD: ALTHOUGH, WHY did his boyfriend out him to his FAMILY? What? That's not okay, right??
And it was REALLY mirrored in Mondo's home visit, too. His family...accept him? But in such a condescending and SAD way. Man, what his mom said about how she tried, she really tried to - what? Fit him into a mold she wanted him to fit? To be a real man? It's so funny - you knew what she meant, but when Tim asked her, point blank, what she meant, the ugly side of it was exposed. She wanted him to not be Mondo. And I'm not accusing just HER, I'm accusing every single parent out of there who "tries" with their child, and does anything possible not to face the truth that their kid IS different.
Mondo saying it's okay to want to play the piano and be good at art was just - heartbreaking, in a way. Because it's 2010, and we shouldn't have to be saying this anymore. At the same time, everything that's been happening in the country is just... this really served to highlight all the ridiculous and outdated issues we are still having with homosexuality. *sigh*
OTHER THAN THAT, I loved Andy's new dress, Gretchen is a snooze but MAN her situation right now is HORRIBLE, Jesus, I love Mondo more than you can express, and Tim Gunn is MY FAVORITE FOREVER.
The thing with Tim? Is I genuinely believe him in everything. I believe his heart breaks for them all, I believe he wants them all to win, I believe that he is able to change his mind about someone based on their actions and not hold a grudge. I LOVE HIM, OKAY. TIM(E) GUNN, YOU ARE THE BEST MENTOR EVER. ♥
Now. Give me all of YOUR feelings! \o/
(AND SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY GERARD WAY AT THE GYM JUST PICTURE IT OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG I LOVE HIM.)

Oh my god, TIM. I love him beyond words. He is such a good man. I love how supportive Michael's partner is and how he obviously has that lovely chosen family and his son, but oh my god, I was so sad for him. He broke my heart last night.
I read an interview somewhere that Mondo and Michael are really close friends now, which makes me SUPER happy.
Mondo's family, oh god. You can tell that they do all love each other a lot, but it's so hard for them. And I love that he's still embracing his culture as part of who he is and not rejecting it, even though there's got to be a lot of pain there.
Gretchen, jfc, I feel so bad for her. So bad. What a horrible situation to be in.

But, UGH TIM GUNN, I LOVE YOUUUU. <3 <3
Michael C. just broke my heart, and Andy's life was so unexpectedly cool (his grandfather trained elephants) and I don't really like Gretchen, but damn her ex is a douche, and MONDO YOU CREEPY DORK I WILL ACCEPT YOU!
Also, Heidi Klum remains an international treasure.

...
I may have some feelings about Gretchen.

Okay, here are my thoughts on Gretchen. I'm trying to think logically since I despise her so much, but I find her incredibly fake. I find that her situation is unfortunate and tough. I can't imagine what it is to come home from an emotional experience like Project Runway to an empty house and an empty bank account. That must be tough and the fact that she's still standing and still designing is admirable. But to pretend that Michael C. is one of "your boys" after continually dogging him out for WEEKS is so hypocritical of her because she never apologized for the way she treated him or pretended to care about him. JUST SHUT UP, GRETCHEN. SHUT THE HELL UP. You don't like Michael C. YOU NEVER DID, UGH.
And &Mondo;! And TIM GUNN, ILUSM.

I'm imagining the boyfriend outed him in some manner of defending their relationship: "Because I'm his boyfriend, Ma Costello. That's why I won't be moving out." He sounded very indignant when he talked about it, as if he'd been insulted.

and Mondo is my favorite forever and ever, amen. although I fucking love that green dress of andy's, okay, I was ready to CUT somebody if he didn't make Fashion Week. Gretchen...I really don't like. Still. But, damn, that is a rough situation to come home to.
But mostly, OH, TURTLE. OH, MONDO. OH, TIM(E) GUNN.

And oh my god, that was so painful and raw to watch. God. I hope he and his boyfriend take Giovanni and move to New York or something.
I hope Mondo wins. Mostly, I hope anyone but Gretchen wins. But I especially hope Mondo wins.

And also worry that somebody should have Michael C. on suicide watch. Seriously. That shit was BAD.
Also, I continue to be UTTERLY baffled by the world of fashion and why people think that high-waisted pants with giant buckle-esque designs, and bag dresses are a GOOD thing. But maybe that's just me.
