All right.

Bally's picture shows her wearing a shirt that says "CCCP". Flashbacks to childhood, not wholly unpleasant. "Soiuz Sovetzkih Socialisticheskih Respublik". Yeah, try to pronounce that three times in a row. I dare you. C'mon.

Ah, the privilege of having an Eastern European language as "native". No one can say your name right. Ever.

But that's quite all right - makes me feel just a wee bit special, especially when someone almost turns blue trying to choke out just the first syllable. The power, man.

my sister brought me this shirt when she lived in moscow, years and years ago. ohh, and i've just noticed that your picture is ewan on a bike!! *eats it*

Was it good for you?

How long was she in Moscow for? And when? So, it's a genuine USSR shirt. That's cool... :)

erm... she was there for three or four years, and she came back just as the ussr was falling apart, and then she went back for two years awhile later... my memory's shot to hell, so that's all i remember of anything that long ago. sad, huh?

and eating ewan is always good. ^_~

oh, wow, that's a long time. i guess she must have liked it, huh? and it isn't sad - all depends on how you look at it... heh.

yes. i quite agree about ewan. ewan is yummy and should be served with no sidedishes.

So-use So-vets-kee-h So-cia-lees-tee-chess-kee-h Reas-poob-leek. :) Am I close? (I better be dammit, I speak the language ;) )

Heh, my name's Eastern European(ish) and it's a real kick listening to telemarketers trying to pronounce it. Heehee. You're right- Power :)

Anna, you speak Russian? Did you learn it or is it native, too? Now I'm curious!

Fluently dear :) It's native. I was born in Moscow and it was my firtst language. Happy for me, I can speak English (on the good days ;) ) without an accent :) How 'bout you?

Holy crap, I'm from Troitsk! How long have you been here? I don't have an accent, either - I've lived here almost 9 years. And yourself?

I've lived here for about... ten years now. Although my family moved when I was really little, so... yeah. :)

Oh, wow, cool. You know, for a while there, I thought you might be my very good friend, Anna, who has read HP. Although, I know her very well, and she is not the sort of person to obsess over anything for a long time. But it would have been quite hysterical! ;) But, seriously, this is cool. Very cool. So, how old were you when you came here?

Well, no dear I don't think that's me, sorry :) And I am one to obsess over many things :) Heehee. Let's see... I was four and a half when I moved here, so I remember... like... nothing. What about you? How old were you?

Oh, freaky nonetheless - she says "dear" all the time. Heh. Wow, that *is* little - I was 11, so I remember quite a bit. Do you speak Russian at home, or no? I'm starting to forget it just the tiny little bit and it's scaring me. After all, I spoke it for 11 years with no interference of another language...

Be glad I havne't started with the various food item names- cookie, pumpkin, biscuit ;) I do speak Russian at home, mainly because it's traditional. I get evil looks when I waltz in saying 'Life is good' as opposed to 'zhizn klasnaya.' or something along those lines. I know what you mean though, I'm starting to forget little words here and there... it's weird. Did you speak it at home? Here I mean. I'm guessing your vocab is much bigger than mine... heh.
