To prove the geek in me....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JIM MACK!

I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. Happy Birthday to our boy!

Because, you know, it's crucial to celebrate a birthday of a fictional character (SHUDDUP, HE WAS REAL!) who's been dead for almost a century (SHUT IT, HIS STILL LIVES WITH DOYLER!!)

YAY! It's JIM MACK day! Also, THE OPENING OF 'AT SWIM' DAY!

Yeah, and some of you might have still harbored the illusion that I've got a life. HA!

He will live forever. Just imagine him now at...what, about 105 or so, coming home to the 105 year old Doyler, and them both doddering about, and then toddling over to the Forty Foot for their daily swim, even though they had to stop jumping when Jim got arthritis about 30 years ago. Doyler still could but of course he helps Jim down the ladder instead, and they both sit there for a while, and then they come back up and they go back to their little 105 year old cottage and read Wilde to each other. Especially on his birthday, when it's extra special, and Jim's 85 year old niece comes and makes them cake, and they sit and talk about days of old. This is how they are and will always be, amen.

it lives!

My God, haven't seen you in aaaaaaaaaaaages! My Prince!

And I do so enjoy this scenario. Especially about Jim's niece coming to make them some cake, and Doyler helping him down the ladder. The funniest thing about this, I imagine them as boys, only with white Whitman-like beards and bent backs. Hmmm...

Miss you! Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Amen. That was beautiful.
