On a totally different topic, here's something fun:
Six clips from the third season of Due South. They're very short, but they're really kind of classic. So, if any of you are curious (and, Vonnie, I am looking at YOU, while I try to work out the rest of this ;)), take a look! They're fun. Some are kind of priceless.
Sam, this morning on the phone: "It occurs to me that there must be quite a bit of slash fanfiction about Ray and Fraser."
EUREKA!

Re: LOVE!
And heh, YAY YOU!
Should I do more? I'm trying to stick to the really unobscure lines and fics...
Re: LOVE!
AND YES PLEASE! I do adore this. Way too much fucking fun.
Re: LOVE!
1. Ray was sitting on the rug with Dief half in his lap, wearing Fraser's boxer shorts and listening to the cordless phone propped between his shoulder and ear.
2. “Fine. But do not think I’m giving you leftovers or treats or pastries ever again. No, I am not.” He snorts. “I am not being a bad sport about this. It’s a fucking dead fish! Oh, shut up.”
3. The marsupial was clever, but disorganized. It had the attention span of a French fry.
4. Ray Kowalski walks into a gay bar for the first time in many moons, with the intent of getting laid.
5. But Ray's always made sense of the world through his body, and it's not something he can explain or that words can make sense of. It's like the way bats fly at night with their ears instead of their eyes; Ray moves, into the shadowy places of life, and the feel of that motion, the way it reverbs off everything around him, tells him where he is and what to do. He moves, he keeps moving, and the words come later, they're just the froth spun off by the churn of his motion through life.
Moving right into stuff I'm not positive you've read, but that you should, and can look up on google based on the line, or ask me, and basically this is my way saying "Look, shiny".
6. Finally, he said, "I imagine I could bring you to a most satisfying orgasm using words alone."
7. Welsh closed his eyes and took a deep breath, fighting down all the crime scene scenarios his mind's eye had offered in the last hour. Please God, let there be one in here that I can show to Mrs. Kowalski. Then he opened the folder.
8. Ray didn't think at first about how if he was Vecchio, then who was going to be Kowalski.
9. "You know, Fraser, I think your wolf loves me."
10. He leans over me, chest against my back. His voice is low behind my ear. "Did you think about me doing this to you?"

"Dulce Est". Reread that yesterday. Fuck, I love it.
2. “Fine. But do not think I’m giving you leftovers or treats or pastries ever again. No, I am not.” He snorts. “I am not being a bad sport about this. It’s a fucking dead fish! Oh, shut up.”
I know I've read this, I'm almost POSITIVE, but...I can't remember. Dammit.
3. The marsupial was clever, but disorganized. It had the attention span of a French fry.
"Mmm. French fries." Yay! The Kangaroo fic!
4. Ray Kowalski walks into a gay bar for the first time in many moons, with the intent of getting laid.
*squeals* Eclipse, etc. That fic. Love that fic.

Umm. Crap. Crap. Help me out here. I'm STUCK, and this sounds so, so good.
6. Finally, he said, "I imagine I could bring you to a most satisfying orgasm using words alone."
That fic... that... where Ray snorts at the idea of orgasm without touching, and then Fraser...talks... The one you linked me to. What was it called again? "Dirty Words"?
7. Welsh closed his eyes and took a deep breath, fighting down all the crime scene scenarios his mind's eye had offered in the last hour. Please God, let there be one in here that I can show to Mrs. Kowalski. Then he opened the folder.
..."Exposures"?..
8. Ray didn't think at first about how if he was Vecchio, then who was going to be Kowalski.
Huh. Hmm. Stuck. (But GOOD POINT!)
9. "You know, Fraser, I think your wolf loves me."
That cute Christmas fic?.. Or! Wait. Is it "What We Talk About When We Talk About Wolves"?
10. He leans over me, chest against my back. His voice is low behind my ear. "Did you think about me doing this to you?"
Um, right now? No idea, but please please tell me so I can read it. *g*
LOVE.
Re: LOVE!
5. Heavy Bag, Kat Allison. Just rediscovered my love for this. Guh.
6. *Snorts* Yup, that one. "Talk Dirty".
7. Yup. Utterly depressing, as I realized yesterday when it BROKE MY HEART.
8. It's this. Which I just have unspeakable amounts of love for.
9. What We Talk About... Yup :)
10. Right, you know that kink I have about words? This pushes those particular buttons quite a bit.
Re: LOVE!
5. Ahhh, yes. One of my favoritest ever. I should reread it. Like, now.
6. *g* Shutup.
7. Oh my God, I know.
8. Oh! New fic! Yay!
9. I should reread that.
10. Oh! Yes, I've read that. Will reread later on, where it's accessible. (Dammit.)
Re: LOVE!
Of course you do.
Consider it a WiP, because it's OBVIOUSLY not done. I'm playing with the scrolling picture idea thing stuff thing.
I'll link, since posting it here will kill the formatting:
Look.
Re: LOVE!
Re: LOVE!
So currently it's for my own perverse pleasure. At some point, it's going to be not weirdly transitioned and possibly somewhat colorful.
Re: LOVE!
Also, can you send me the actual-size version of that wallpaper? Love.
Re: LOVE!
"Shut up, mutt," said Ray. "People are sleeping."
Dief gave him a nasty look and peed on the wheel of the GTO.
I find this to be far funnier than I think was intended. I actually can't stop giggling.

Hee! I love Dief! I have a feeling I've read this. What is it?

Re: LOVE!
And yes. I would love to :)
That picture. I. Um. I just. I CANNOT stop looking at it. It's just so fucking expressive...
Re: LOVE!
Re: LOVE!
Just yes. So much yes.
Have I recently mentioned my love of images BTW? Just as a whole? I love them. I love watching things. I love seeing things that are completely indescribable with words, I love colors and shapes and contrast and motion and everything about the visual world.
Except for the 70's because that's enough to blind someone.
Re: LOVE!
And as for the 70's...well, what can I say. Ow.
Re: LOVE!
I really, really, really love you. Like, right now.
And I love words in a completely different way (actually, it's not that different, but that's a WHOLE other discussion), but I just. I *think* in pictures. I don't know how to explain that properly. When I think of words- something someone said, a sentence I read, etc- I *see* the words. As images. Like the way it might look if it was typed. Actually, most people have their own font, in my head. Okay, that's really fucking dorky, I know. But but but. Colors, lines, curves, little details and everything.
In the right mindframe, the world through my eyes is a very pretty place.
See why I want to make movies?
Re: LOVE!
I think I know what you mean. I usually think in words, and that strikes others as unusual. I think in complete sentences, I can't help it, but I know what you mean about the visual. My words are visual, too. I don't know. Maybe it isn't unusual, maybe it is, but I know exactly what you mean. Most of my letters and numbers have personalities and colors. Sometimes even sounds. It's awesome.

This is why you need to make movies and share with the world. :)
Re: LOVE!
I thought it was SO WEIRD when I figured out that not everyone does this. I know you and I do the 'objects have personalities' thing, and I just. It seriously never occured to me that other people don't do this.
I think my very first response to that was 'how lonely'.
This is why you need to make movies and share with the world.
*crosses everything she can*
