mayatawi's talk of HT and clothes and all of her wearing of HOT HOT CORSETS has led me to opening up a new tab, and fuck.

My brain keeps making grabby hands at it. It wants! But it shouldn't, because what if it doesn't fit? And it's kind of pricey! And and and...it's so PRETTY. I don't even know what I'd wear it to. But oh, so pretty!

If you can afford the 42 dollars, GO FOR IT. It is hot! It'll look fantastic, and making yourself feel better is one of the best reasons for doing something.

Heh. I shop at Hot Topic with a strong sense of irony intact. Because I know it's such an emo teenybopper thing to do! And yet I LOVE THEIR CORSETS.

Also, until recently, when I found their online shop, I only went, like, once a year at Christmas and stocked up, and when you spend a certain amount you automatically get a 15% discount on your next purchase. So I pretty much have a permanent discount there. So that's fun!

On the other hand, we wouldn't have to wear it on the same DAY...right? Dammit. My resolve is dissolving. In fact, I don't think I had any resolve to begin with.

I think I am just jealous because there is no way I could wear a corset. My arms are too squidy and my belly to big to pull it off well. So instead I'm all DAMN THE MAN! about it.

Heh. I get it. I definitely have days of ::pokey arm:: "Go away!" and shit. But really... in a way, it's like, I've more or less given up on what people think of me. I'm not looking for a relationship. There's no one in my life I really want to impress with how I look. I wear pretty things because I like them, and I make sure, like, my stomach's not hanging out or anything, because that bugs me, but other than that, I just. don't. care.

Which isn't necessarily coming from a healthy mental place, but without all the context of emotional baggage, it's pretty liberating.

Also? You're totally hot, wench. And so is Liz! Hey! We all win!
