You know how they say history keeps repeating itself?
Well, somebody gave me a CD of Bill Hicks this week. It was a recording of a show from back in 1992, in England. And it opens like so:

"Yeah, 12 years, all the comics in the U.S. have been like a little pygmy tribe shooting little darts into this rampaging beast-elephant republicanism and finally tuesday night it crashes to the fucking ground."

Talk about shelf life! :-)
