Insta-rec and a meme!

First of all, I have a rec!

Tangled by [livejournal.com profile] slidellra.

One of the cutest, funniest, and in-character fics I've read in a long, long time. Look:

Ray tilted his head, frowning thoughtfully, and then scowled for real when he heard a small sound from inside the office. "You got somebody in there? That's bad, double-booking your social calendar. That's just not done in polite circles."

"No, believe me, Ray," Fraser insisted, serious now. "There's been an unexpected... unpleasantness, and I'm afraid it'll take most of the evening to remedy."

"I can help. If it's not too gross." Ray craned his neck, trying to see into the room. Didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but it was hard to tell with Fraser bobbing into his line of sight like that. Fraser braced his arms against the sides of the doorway, which was a
great look for him but a serious tactical error. Ray faked left then ducked under Fraser's arm. Sucker.

*flails* Go read! Tell her how wonderful it is!

And now, a meme, taken from [livejournal.com profile] lordessrenegade:

Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

I forsee another long day at work. Help me out? *smiles winningly*

*slinks out*

I'd like to see what's going on oh, say, a year after Right, This Time (http://mrsronweasley.livejournal.com/505576.html") ended. Because it is one of my very favorite first-time stories, and I'd like to know, y'know, how things went. And I am NOT AT ALL averse to kidfic. To a shameful degree. Just sayin'. :-)

Excellent rec, btw. [livejournal.com profile] slidellra rules so hard. And I get to meet her AND you at the Jam! /yays

Huh. I'll see what I can do about that. *g* Uhm, I'm not sure a year is quite enough for kid!fic to develop, sadly, but, you know. I might just write random kid!fic, who knows! 'Cause...it's kid!fic. (And thank you. :D)

She does rule! And YAY! Getting to meet all these people. Are we lucky, or what? \o/

Bah, you and your insistence on things like temporal physics and the vagaries of the calendar :-) I'd just be happy to see a fic where those two lonely, lonely guys from "Right, This Time" get to be all happy and cuddly. (I am such a sap).

Meeting all the cool people totally deserves the Paul Gross Arms of yay! (which I cannot do because I only have a / button. *sigh*)

Oh my God, that is the saddest thing ever! You really can't do Paul Gross Arms? That's...awww! Here, I'll do it for you:

\o/

(I suppose you could do things like /o/ ...like a happy wave? *g*)

But yes! Sounds good. Will get right on that.
