yet another plea.
Hello, internets. I am bored. I just wrote out an entry of several paragraphs that put me to sleep. I am a very boring person right now.
Entertain me, please? Post pictures! Ask questions! Tell me things anonymously! With your name signed! Read any good books lately? Watched any good movies? Shows? Music?
I'm not sure what it is about today, but it's been a long day already, and it's not even noon. Awesomecakes.
(Oh, and The Love Meme is still - incredibly so - active. Yay for fandom love! Everybody is amazing. Six pages of love. That is pretty awesome.)

BTW: NSFW, unless you work in a very tolerant and understanding environment. Like a sex shop, or something.

Thank you! :D

I'm slowly going stir-crazy and staving it off with classic sci-fi and elaborate AU fanfic. I wrote an SGA fic that lots of people seem to like but I'm sad because when I leave for the Peace Corps there will be no time for fandom (or big gay space shows). My boyfriend turns 21 in two weeks and this weekend I am going to give my blood to science. How are you?
no subject
Oh, wow, the Peace Corps. Where are you going? When? That's so exciting! Though, at the price of fandom... *sigh* But we'll still be here when you return. *g* And wow! Blood for science! I'm sure there's a comm for that... *G*
I'm good! Full, after lunch, and anticipating the weekend. And it's only Wednesday. But that's okay, because tonight I get to go to Kohl's! I know. My life is non-stop excitement, let me tell you. :P

I'm going to a Russian-speaking region of Central Asia, probably Azerbaijan or Kazakhstan. (Which reminds me, I really need to email my Russian prof about self-study materials.) The problem is, I haven't officially been approved for this program yet--they're still processing my medical paperwork. Until they decide I'm not going to drop dead as soon as I get over there, they can't tell me any more details--just the region and a vague departure date of "sometime in August." V. frustrating.
Blood for science--it's actually a drug study for an HIV medication. I go to a center two weekends in a row, take a pill, and then they take lots and lots of my blood to test. And pay me like $700 for my trouble. Win all around!
Hey, it's perfectly legitimate to get excited about going to Kohl's. I'm excited about sitting around all day with my friend K watching Firefly.

Wow, Azerbaijan or Kazakhstan. I've been to Azerbaijan (Baku, we had family there) - I was very young, I barely remember it, but I'm told that was the first time I saw the sea. It'll probably be hard to get used to at first, but it should be an amazing experience. I'm very impressed! (It sucks that they keep you waiting, though. That just sounds frustrating. I'm sorry...)
And wow! $700 and you get to help with research? Everybody wins. *G* Good luck with that. Eat cookies. :D
Oh, that sounds LOVELY. Yay!

$700 for nearly 50 seperate blood draws over two weeks. I'll look like a drug addict but I'll have contributed to the approval of a generic medication. I guess it all balances. :-)

Also, I've just been studying Paradise Lost. 12 books of it, and I think that Paul Gross should do a cd of himself reading it, because that would make me just about melt into a little puddle of glee.
Also also, this icon was drawn for me by a friend. How cool is that? \o/
no subject
Paul Gross reading the PHONE BOOK would make me happy, so poetry would be...wow, spectacular. That voice. Mmmmm. Yeah.
And that's very cool! It's adorable. :D

(Anonymous) 2007-06-06 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)I--may be in the process of converting them and buying a stack of stuff from iTunes. Maybe.
Still, for now you can go here: http://www.jilljack.com/ and listen. "Rosie" is my absolute favorite right now.
(This isn't really that anonymous, is it. Oh well.)

I'll check them out! Thank you!

Anna Paquin in leather and then some. I think will be enough pics for one comment. OK, one non-leather picture here.
In other news, grad school sucks. I would not wish the experience upon my worst enemy.
Um....that's it. Unless you want to ask me a question or post pictures of, oh, I don't know, Sarah Shahi and Kate Moennig making out. :)

I picked up the first two books in translation at my local Barnes & Noble, and if I believe Amazon.com, the third book (in translation) is due to arrive sometime next week. I can only hope that the last book comes out by the end of the year.

Anna Paquin in leather. NICE. You win.
Oh, man. I'm sorry. I'm kind of glad I escaped that fate. *g*
Sarah Shahi. POST AWAY, my friend. Needless to say, same goes for Kate Moennig, my future girlfriend. :D
no subject
Yeah, Anna in leather is pretty much my second favorite idea ever. (Anna out of leather beats it, of course.)
See? I tell people to avoid the suckage for their own good, trust me. Heh.
I will have to do a Sarah Shahi post one of these days. Sarah's more my type than Kate, but I wouldn't kick either of them out of bed. Especially if they're both in bed with me at the same time. :)
P.S. - So, metropolitan Boston area. Do you think I'd like living in Boston for a few years at least, based on your years of knowing me? I ask this hypothetically, and not because I may or may not have an inside track to a fellowship at arguably the most prestigious and well-known medical school in the world. Really.

Have you ever seen Everything is Illuminated? Your "I am a very boring person right now" reminded me of that. I freaking adore that movie, it is SO VERY GAY without meaning to be and really awesome, plus Eugene Hutz is in it, which, yay. So much love for him.
One bad thing about today, I still can't figure out why no one wants to date me. That might be okay. A dude in traffic today was STARING at me and it creeped me out and I realised that finding someone to date might mean actually talking to people like that and I was, suddenly, okay. Tomorrow I will probably be sad about it again, though.
And... hm. My garbageman looks hot today.
That's all. Oh, wait. Love you!
no subject
And no. I actually want to read the book first, and then see the movie, but I do plan on doing both in the future, so...I will. Yes.
Oh, honey. That's a bad thought process to go down. It's not worth it, and...yeah, seriously, do you really want to start meeting all those scary people that are out there? No.
But you DO get to enjoy the view of your hot garbageman and have fantasies, and that's really kind of a lot better. :D
I love you back!

Seiichi shivered. "All right," he said, and let Genichirou press him back against the tangle of sheets. His eyes were dark when Genichirou leaned over him. "You can touch all you want."
"Thank you," Genichirou breathed, and ran his fingertips over the sinuous curve of the dragon twisting along Seiichi's collarbones. He followed his fingertips with his tongue, lapping at scales and claws that were only ink on skin, and heard Seiichi's breath catch. He paused, lips brushing against Seiichi's chest, but Seiichi didn't say anything.
He kept on, fingers skimming over the beached ships and the tiny figures leaping out of them. When he traced the tip of his tongue along the crisp line of a spar, Seiichi gasped and started to make a short movement. Genichirou paused again, but Seiichi didn't offer to continue the aborted movement, and let him continue on.
He ran his fingers over a nipple and followed them with his tongue. Seiichi moaned softly, and when Genichirou looked at him, his lips were parted as he breathed faster, and his eyes were closed. "Seiichi?"
"Don't stop," Seiichi said, and kept his eyes closed. He added, softer, almost dreamy, "It's been so long..."
"Ah..." Genichirou swallowed, and spread his fingers against Seiichi's stomach, splaying them over the tide rushing back in.
Seiichi's muscles jumped under his fingers, and he closed a hand on the blankets. "Yes," he said, and said it again as Genichirou tracked wet kisses down that sweep of water, and then he moaned when Genichirou's hands stroked down his thighs, spreading them apart. "Yes, please..." And he arched up, groaning, when Genichirou ran his mouth up the length of Seiichi's cock and took it in his mouth.
Genichirou let him, humming at the feeling of it sliding between his lips, sleek and heavy. He kneaded his fingers over Seiichi's thighs, men and ships being swept away to destruction under his palms, and watched the pleasure as it danced over Seiichi's face. Perhaps Seiichi could let himself relax in this, too; the thought pleased him. He hummed again and bent his head to take Seiichi deeper, sucking harder, and was surprised when Seiichi's fingers plucked at his shoulders. "Seiichi?" he asked, softly.

Uhh...what else? There are Big Doings at my work, and I had to semi-dress up today, which has been vaguely annoying me all day.
Oh! I'm reading Anansi Boys and absolutely loving it.
no subject
Big Doings? Good, bad? Semi dressing up! Oh, dear. I just totally took off my bra at work, it was so uncomfortable. *g*
Ohh, I haven't read that yet, but I love Neil Gaiman so, so much. Enjoy it, yay!

Dude, just...post about it after you watch part two. It was one of my favorite episodes of the entire series so far.

Glad you are well. Talk to you soon.

Yeah. *I* was pretty worried when I got rid of my old journal. But all is good now. Tremendous in fact. I started to miss having my own little corner of The Internet.
Anyway, if you will excuse me, I have some 24 to catch up on! *skips away to telly land*

Tremendous - that's wonderful. Life is pretty damn sweet here, too. (BTW, have you heard from S. lately at all? I wonder how she's doing!)
Enjoy! :D
