Once again, I have proven to myself that I cannot take Ray/Ray. It was obvious from the start, but I thought I'd test my own limits again. They do not stretch that far. Even with fics by writers I love and admire, I cannot do it. It feels wrong. All of me is protesting with "but... but... FRASER! Ray and Fraser! OTP!! Mommy!!" Also, the ending of "Call of the Wild." I am a canon whore, and RayV ends up straight and in Florida. And Kowalski gets bent on Fraser. Tralalalalalalalalalalala....

Yeah, me too. And I've tried, because their dynamic is so intense and does make for really hot fic, but the Fraser Factor diminishes my enjoyment of it a lot. It doesn't help that most Ray/Ray fic I've read seems to admit that Fraser and RayK are actually meant for each other, or one of them is meant for the other, but it just didn't work out for some reason. It makes me sad. :(

Anna and I were watching s2, and I said that I could almost see Ray/Ray, and that they would snark each other to orgasm. But actually reading it...can't do it. Because...there's Fraser. And if things between him and RayK don't work out, it's almost like there's no Santa Claus and Christmas never came. It's losing some faith, right there, which sucks, and I don't like it. I'm such a sucker for those two. It's kind of pathetic...

He is! He is, he is, he is! I can almost see Fraser liking him, in seasons 1 and 2, but...I can't see RayV being gay. I just...can't do it. Also, RayK is clearly in love with Fraser. I mean, just...in canon. He IS. So... it would be somebody's heart getting broken, possibly two people's, maybe two. That would just be too sad, you know? I...am a sad, sad fangirl...

and, as a side note, reading or writing slash is always challenging because of the male pronouns. You have to keep track of which 'him' every one of them is referring to. I can't even fucking imagine if the characters had the same fucking name. holy shit. women who write that are masochistic. honestly.

See, I can read it because this fandom is filled with such amazing talent that Ray/Ray is almost always good. I've even written it (but only because someone requested it and I promised I'd do whatever they requested) but I just don't really enjoy it. Not like I enjoy RayK/Fraser. And I hate Vecchio/Fraser. BLAH.

I love Vecchio gen, however. Gimme lots of Vecchio! Just... gimme straight Vecchio.

Um... so I shouldn't admit I went through a stage of preferring RayV/Fraser, then, right? :) (I think I did that because I had total loyalty to Ray V as the original, and I could really see Fraser being in love, so I kind of got over the fact he's almost painfully straight in order for Fraser to have goodness with his First Love. I didn't particularly care about Ray K - I know! - because I hadn't really seen much of the stuff with him in and I'd had ages to like ray V more. But now I am over that, though I still have an occasional weird liking for it; I don't mind threesome fic, fr'instance. I just want all of them to be happy, dangit. :) (RayV should marry Stella and they should go off and be Chicago's major power couple, yo.)

Well, as I was first introduced into the RayK love, I'm always totally there with the loyalty, but I can definitely see not liking him at first, and feeling the Vecchio loyalty - Vecchio was first! I totally get that, and I do love RayV. But...Fraser/RayK just works so much better, because...it's reciprocated! :D (I luuuuure you...)

And...RayV did marry Stella! Of course...the opened up a bowling alley, which is, like, the most fucked up thing that show came up with, but still! I'm totally ok with that. You can guess why. *g*

Oh, I know. BUT IT IS OK WITH ME. *g* Because I love RayV, I do, but I love my RayK/Fraser love more. *sigh* There is so much room for fucked-upness, and things not working out, and I get that? But it just...feels wrong, you know? And hell, fanfic is for fantasy, right? So I like to think that things do work out, for all of them. ...In a way that I like. Is that selfish? Yes. But do I care?... Hmmm....
