Sep. 8th, 2003 12:52 pmThis is more or less for mine and Jo's amusement. Out of curiosity, I decided to go back a year in this journal and see what was up on September 9th, and this, amazingly enough, is what I came up with:
Jo, you need to see this.
Another historical moment. Heh.
(You know, I didn't quite remember when the whole 'let's go to Ireland' thing started, and this answers me question. You're a genius.)
I think I'll drop one of my classes. If I want to get all A's and graduate with a 3.75, taking six classes a semester is simply not plausible for me. I think 'Modern Japan' will have to go for now. It's just too insane otherwise and my limited mind can't cope. Yeah, I'm a loser.
But contrary to my own expectations, U.S Political History from 1800-1920 is actually fascinating. I think it may just be her geeky influence, and I am grateful. And I'm really excited about my French New Wave Film class. The professor is wonderful and interesting (it helps that he's a close friend of quite a few directors we'll be studying) and, hey, it's a French film class. It's my 'I'm going to have SOME fun this year, dammit' class. In actuality, I like most of my classes except for Modern Japan, but it may just be that it's really fucking early, three times a week. I'm interested in Japan - very much - but my head is exploding from everything I have to take. There has to be some sort of middle-ground, man...
Anyway. Enough of the boring stuff. Off to get a loan and owe my immortal soul to yet another bank. Yippie.
